Cal had been around the past few weeks. Just around. School had been pretty damn slow in her opinion but what was she to do? She didn't control the curriculum flow nor did she want to go to her counselor and ask to be put in more.. challenging classes because lord knew it wouldn't go her way. It'd end up with her having to go back to her counselor to beg them to switch her back. Too much shit to go through and when it came to shit, Cal was too lazy to be bothering with any of it. Her stuffed animal was hugged firmly to her chest as she sat on her white pickup's hood, the only vehicle around this neck of the woods when it came to the lot. Checking her phone she could see it had become Sunday as of ten minutes ago so, she supposed, there'd be no harm in greeting daybreak. It had been a while since she stayed up long enough to watch the sun break the dark horizon and slowly bathe everything in its dull, pastel glow.. making everything and everyone under it beautiful for the expanse of a measly hour. When she was into her photography thing, she'd find lawns with dew still on them just to take those really awesome water drop close ups with the morning sun echoing inside of each. It was really unoriginal and probably the most cliche shit to do when it came to photography but it made her feel like she had accomplished something back in her younger days. Her mums encouraged it at least.
Her left hand came up to run through her wig's locks, in turn, her lips quirking upward with a nostalgic fondness that crossed her face less frequently now. She had come to terms with that fact that one day she'd always be on her own. That home wasn't forever. Home, with her moms, would always be there but in the near future she'd have to get her own place and that place would have to be her home. It'd be the place where she'd come back to, sleep in, eat in, have parties in, bring people - bring her family one day to show them she was doing well. Every thought had slowly begun to include her parents more and more and more and eventually it was all she could think about until she asked herself the one thing she had never wanted to ask herself as long as she lived.
She covered her lips with her hand, stomach convulsing violently with the mere thought and she was quick to push it out of her head. Something like that shouldn't even be in her head right now. Her mums were at home, happy together. They had - she had - years ahead to spend with them and she'd squeeze everything out of them until it was time to say goodbye so there'd be no temptation. None.
Shit.
Jumping off of the truck's top, well, sliding off somewhat gracefully, her heels clacked on the pavement below and she threw the driver's door open to put on some tunes. Distracting herself from where her thoughts were going wouldn't be an easy feat but it could be done. Okay. uhm.. Ponies. ..They were cool. She guessed. Ponies, Unicorns, Charlie the Unicorn, Charlie from Perks, Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, Burberry, Fashion, Shopping -- shopping would be good. Was the mall even open at this time of night? ..Morning? No. She'd have to wait. Ugh! Shit, it was Sunday! God damn it. That meant they opened late. Did she have homework to do? No. That shit was long done. Fuuuuck! Oh! OH. BREAKFAST. Eating would be good! But she usually… ate at the mall. God fucking damn it. This blowed. Cal crossed her arms as she leaned against the side of her truck and stared up at the stars trying to pacify herself. Calm down dude! Your plans aren't entirely up in flames. Just.. get some coffee somewhere and chill there. Take your laptop - check if they do the whole wifi shit and then you can really eat at the mall. Problem solved. Her smile was back and her shoulders sagged completely. Problem solved indeed. Touche self!

Would she ever… bring back either of her mums after they..?
