Derek frowned, seeing the two girls silently mulling over what had happened in the past few hours. He sympathetically suggested, "Perhaps you two should rest? We've had quite a busy night."

"I can't sleep right now", she replied, a tad sharply, she was starting to get angry and since that Max kid had run away she was taking it out on the wrong person."Ugh, sorry, I'm just going to go plan a murder or something", she said getting up from the floor.

Artemis looked up. She took out her ring and tossed t across the room. "I hate that thng"S he whspered...It was the thing that controlled her almost. "Why cant I be normal..why do I have to be a freak" She whispered to herself. "Im not very tired" She said looking back to the ground. Did all this start after finding out she was adopted?...Would an HM find out she did it and call her in in the morning...

Looking up at Teri, he smiled weakly, and said, "I'll see you later then Tari, and... don't get too caught up about it, he was just a freshman." He somewhat regretted those last words, mainly because he was a freshman himself, but he said what he could to comfort her.

Tari caught the ring and turned around quickly, throwing it back at Artemis,"Keep that on and stop losing it. It's risky to keep losing control like that, people could get hurt and you'll screw yourself over", she told Artemis then gave them a short wave,"I'll try not to kill him...but I'm not promising anything." Nefertari walked up to her dorm, leaving Darek to deal with the emotional blond.

Derek then turned to Artemis, who seemed to not care much about the ring that Tari threw back at her. He sighed, and took a seat by her on the couch.
"You okay?", he asked, hoping he wasn't going to piss her off.

Artemis caught the ring and slid it back in her pocket. "So what..."S he whispered as Tar left. Artemis rested her head on the couch. She looked to Derek when he spoke to her...he seemed like he was really asking. "Um..Im honestly not sure. Ill be fine later" She said looking up to the ceiling. "You can go..I dont want to keep you awake...especially with classes"

Derek chuckled, "I don't need sleep. Don't worry about me. I should be fine." Derek knew he was lying at that last part, because his body felt exhausted at the release of power back in Einstein.
He focused his eyes back on Artemis saying, "I'm more worried about you. Shit went down back there, and someone almost died."

Artemis looked back to him. He was someone she had just met but..that was the first time someone said they were worried about her. She inhaled holding her face in her hands. "Yeah Im evil I get that...but I never meant to almost kill someone"She said. She knew what she had just said..about her being on the Villain side. She really didnt care. "He just...he pissed me off" He looked up her eyes a bit puffy. No way would she break down..not now not with him

Evil, huh? Well that solidified his hypothesis. So at the moment he was dealing with an evil, emotional senior girl with temporarily jammed super powers. Derek sighed. He didn't really realize what he was getting into when he joined the school, did he. He slid over and put his arm over her shoulders, squeezing gently.
"People piss people off. Sometimes you just have to control your temper", he said, all the while hoping she wouldn't bring the evil side back up.

Artemis shivered feeling his arm around her. "Why are you being nice to me?" She said looking over to him. She would be fine later..it was her first day back from her home town..from hearng she was adopted of course she would be emotional. Artemis sighed looking down to Derek. " I mean..Its just dfferent and..after all that your still sitting with me."
Artemis shook her head...what the hell was she getting herself into...

Derek weakly smiled. She probably wasn't used to someone being nice to her. Well, it did come with the evil territory. Somewhere in the back of his head, Derek thought that maybe, just maybe, he could change her. Regardless, that wasn't what was important right now. Derek needed to make sure this wouldn't happen again, at least not soon anyways.
"Is there a reason I shouldn't? We're going to the same school, and I've basically hung out with your for two nights straight. I can call you a friend, and I care about my friends. That means staying up with them. No matter what."
