"Joni huh? I like it." Shasta siad, taking a hair band out of her pocket and pullingher hair back into a ponytail. It always got in her way if she didn't when she played any sort of sport. She grinned when Joni told her that the bumpers would be up on her turn. THat worked well enough for her. "Thanks Joni. I appreciate it." Watching as the other girl stood to do her turn, Shasta grinned at her question. "Well actually I go to Oceanside. I just started as a freshman." She said, her eyes locked on Joni's figure as she sent the ball rolling. Nine pins down and Shasta shook her head grinning. "Dang. I've never gotten nine pins down in one go. You're amazing." She said, playing with her ponytail. "Anyway, do you go to school around here?" She inquired, glancing up at the score board.

Joni couldn't help but smile as Shasta said that she liked her name. "Really, it's not problem." she said, waiting for her blue bowling ball to come back up. As she did, she looked at the number on the lane out of curiosity. Huh, she thought. That's funny, it's six. Like my shoe size... and the weight of the bowling ball... OH MY GOD, THIS PLACE IS CURSED! Joni felt a shiver go down her spin and she hesitantly reached for her bowling ball when it came back up. "Huh?" she asked, shaking her hair out before lining herself back up with the lane. "Oh, a freshman huh? That's cool." Then, she sent the ball rolling down the lane. It was just as speedy as the first one, and... it was a hit! She sighed contently, turning back to Shasta with a smile once more. "You go to Oceanside too?!" she asked. "That's awesome, so do I! I'm a new senior though. I guess you could say I'm a... freshman senior?" Joni shrugged and giggled moving to a seat so she could watch Shasta bowl.

Shasta was a little curious why Joni suddenly seemed distracted but figured it was just the bowling. When Joni said she went to Oceanside to Shasta laughed. "Freshman Senior, I havne't heard that one before." She said, still giggling as she stood and stretched before she went for her ball, wondering a litte about what classification Joni fit, and what abilities she had. Picking the ball up easily she stepped up to the lane, aiming carefully before she sent it rolling. It bounced against the bumpers in a sharp zig zag patturn and caught the edge of the pins as it slid down. only one pin fell. Shasta sighed and turned to Joni as she waited for the ball to come back up. "Like I said, I suck. I love it and all, but people who have played with me usually don't play a second game." She admitted with a wry grin, picking up her ball as it came out and turning back to the lane. "This time for sure." She muttered, throwing with wild abandon. The ball bounced a little at first then went rolling slowly from side to side. As it neared the pins it slowed down even more and passed diagnally along the edge, knocking down three pins before going down the back. "Yes! Three at once!" Shasta cheered, doing a quick hopping dance. She turned back to Joni grinning, a peace sign held up as she walked back. "Your turn." She almost sang as she sat down.
