"Okay," Penny said. It seemed odd to her that he was thinking so hard about where to swim, but maybe this was normal for someone other than her. "I might come to the beach again tomorrow," she said, "Though I might have a fight."

"Really? This soon?" Aaron asked Penelope. Well, it would make sense for the school to have practice summer sessions. This wasn't a giant beach house for gifted kids to stay in. They had to work occasionally through out the summer. "Do you know with who?"

"No, I just signed up this afternoon, and I haven't had a chance to check back yet," she said. "It was actually one of the first things I did since I got here; fighting's probably my favorite thing to do here," she said to Aaron, explaining why she was having a fight this soon.

"Are you the violent type of girl?" Aaron asked, raising an eyebrow at her. He turned around and started to walk away, motioning his head towards the direction he was walking, hoping Penny would follow him as he walked on the pier. "C'mon," he said to be clear.

Penelope stood up and followed Aaron, "Yeah, I guess I am," she said. "I love a good fight, and it's a great way to use my powers. Where're we going?" she asked him as they walked along the pier.

"Be careful with your temper then," Aaron advised Penelope. "Nowhere in particular, just walking," he said, looking down at the wooden bridge, wondering what rocks and sea creatures lie beneath. "The pier is a nice place to walk at night, I think," he said, looking back at Penelope.

"My temper," Penelope laughed. "I cannot control that thing," she told him. "Yeah, the Pier is nice, especially at night, I agree," she said, looking at him when he looked at her.

"And this is where I come in," Aaron said to Penelope about her comment with her temper. Aaron could easily control it. He could hold her anger back and calm her down. He switched back to the topic of the pier. "That's because everything is lit up," he looked at the night sky, "and when the moon is out the waves are the largest and it makes things almost perfect."

"But I don't want you to control my temper," Penelope said, wrinkling her nose a bit, "I like my temper," she told him. "And every thing's better with the moon and stars."

"I never said I would control it nor will I," Aaron said, his hands back in his pocket. "I guess so," he replied. He didn't have much to comment on the stars and moon. "Are you hungry?" Aaron asked Penelope.

"Yeah, I could do with something to eat," Penelope said to Aaron,"Where do you want to go?" she asked him, stopping to put her shoes back on and then walking again.

"Corndogs sound really good right now," Aaron said to Penelope. That's why piers were great. There were fried fast food stands and that made everything better. He walked to a stand and ordered two corndogs. "Wait- you do want a corndog, you like those, right Penny?" Aaron asked Penelope before finalizing the order.

"Yeah, a corndog's perfect," Penelope said, she hadn't had one all summer, after all. "With Ketchup, please," she told him, as she dug into her purse to find some money.

"I prefer mine with mustard," Aaron said before turning to the stand worker. "Two corndogs please," he said and paid for the two corn dogs, ignoring Penelope's search for money. Aaron was given the corndogs and went to the condiment stand where he squirted ketchup on Penelope's and mustard on his. "Here you go," he said, offering the corndog to her.

Penelope looked up when she had found her wallet and pulled out the proper amount of money. She hoped that Aaron was offering to pay when he handed her the corndog, for she realized that she still only had Canadian money. "Thankyou," she said, taking her corndog from him.
