Room 204 is the third door on the left on the second floor of Hercules Hall. It is a good sized, two person room.

Nefertari walked into Lyra's dorm with Tobias, it seemed she hadn't gotten a roommate yet.

Lyra walked in her room and sat on her bed. "This is my room," she said. "It is empty."

After talking for a while, Nefertari yawned and said goodbye to Lyra and Tobias. She headed back to her dorm.

Melrose pushed with all her might against the heavy dorm door, her hands occupied with the multitude of her bags. The dorm looked pleasant. Her roommate had already unpacked but was no where to be seen. She shuffled her way over to the empty bed on the opposite side of the room and dumped her belongings. Melrose had to admit, she was indeed nervous. Nervous to make a good impression, on both her roommate and just about everyone else. She was already starting miss her cousin, Miles, back at home. The thought started to make her feel uneasy and rather depressed. Shaking it off, Melrose started to unpack. Usually she did it the proper, normal way. One piece of luggage at a time. But this time she wanted to try something new and actually use her gift. I mean why not? It'd be fun. Melrose gave a quick look over her luggage sprawled out of the bed and took a deep breath. And then, ZOOM. The room began spinning around her, colors of all sorts flying by, but Melrose knew exactly where she was and what she was doing. After a matter of seconds, she planted her feet back into the floor. All her packing was done. The bed was made with new sheets, all her clothes put away, everything. Done. Melrose could still feel her feet vibrating beneath her. She really did love her gift and she suddenly found a stroke of possibility that she might even like it here too.

Lyra walked in, very sleepy. She changed into a tank top and took off her pants. She noticed her bed was neat- Melrose must have made her bed. She would have to thank her. Lyra collapsed on her bed and tried to sleep.

Lyra woke up from her sleep. She looked over at her cellphone for the time and groaned. Seriously? It was the afternoon? If it was one thing Lyra hated, it was waking up past twelve. Now she was going to feel groggy all day. Lyra sat up from her bed and let out a sigh. Her hair was messy and she could taste her morning breath. Guh. Not good at all.

Melrose was searching under her bed for her phone. She could have sworn she had it when she came in last night. Maybe she dropped it on the way back to the dorm? It was possible, Tobias face could have distracted her. It usually does.
But what if her cousin, Miles, called? Or texted? What if he was waiting on her? Oceanside was great but Melrose still loved her home. Her arm zoomed back and forth under the bed, hoping to run her fingers across something. No luck. Geez. How lame.
Melrose could hear Lyra stirring in her bed. It was odd for her to be waking up so late, Melrose could never do it. If she woke up at noon, her day would be totally shot. Feeling sociable, she slid out from under her bed, smacking her forehead on the frame. Ouch. Geez. "Lyra! Hey sleepy head."

Lyra looked over at Melrose and groaned. "Blah," she replied and slid out of bed. "I hate waking up this late," she whined and bent down to touch her toes. She needed to stretch. Lyra couldn't go around feeling lazy all day. Hell, she was out all day yesterday maybe she should stay indoors just to cancel everything out. "I didn't come home till 3am last night," Lyra said, standing up straight now. She sat on the edge of her bed. She wasn't bragging or trying to look cool, just her reasoning on why she woke up so late.

"3 am? Geez. What were you up to? Had yourself a hot date?" Melrose joked, rubbing the knob on her head. "And I thought I was a rebel. Staying out late till midnight." She made her way over to the nightstand table, zooming through the two drawers. Still. Nothing. Darn you Tobias and your face. Melrose yawned and continued her scavenger hunt in the chest at the end of her bed.

Lyra laughed uneasily, "no, not hot date with me although I was with someone," Lyra said, her voice ascending to make it sound interesting. Her voice went back to boring and shrugged of what she just said, "I was Tour Guide Barbie for a transfer student yesterday," Lyra said and ran her fingers through her hair. She would need to shower soon. And eat. She was hungry.
"What about you, Mel?" Lyra was curious what she did yesterday. Lyra also hoped Melrose didn't mind her calling her Mel. It was easier to say. "What did you do last night that made you come home at midnight?"

"Oh. Transfer student. How foreign!" Melrose kidded dramatically, throwing her head back as if she were in a romance novel. Then quickly turning back to her hunt for phone, she zoomed through the closet boxes and such. Melrose was starting to get the feeling that this was all a lost cause.
"I was down at the pier last night." She added, enjoying the little nickname Lyra threw in. It made her feel more accepted. Only Miles had ever given her a nickname. The rest of her family was completely against the idea. It was rather pointless to be though. "I met up with Tobias." her voicing cracked when she mentioned his name. Melrose quickly continued, hoping it wasn't obvious, "Then Tari and this guy named Mykel." That's it. Her phone was a goner. "We went to In-n-Out for a bit. I didn't eat anything though and um, well we headed home." She finished, throwing her hands up in the air in defeat, "I think I lost my phone too. Geez."

Lyra shook her head and grinned, laughing once again, "no, not foreign. He's from San Diego," Lyra said. She reached over to her phone and called Mel's cellphone. Maybe she would find it if it was ringing- hopefully it wasn't on silent. Most people tend to lose their cellphones while on silent. "I'm calling your cell," Lyra said. She kept the phone to her ear as if expecting someone to pick up.
"You met up with Tobias?" Lyra gave a funny look to Melrose and pucked her lips. "You met up with TK?" this was a shocker to her. She didn't walk to Tobias all day yesterday, well, they were both busy, and she never recalled Tobias talking about Melrose. Did they even meet? Yeah, she remember they saw each other in the practice room but that was... weird. "Wait why were you with him?" This took Lyra's interest naturally, Tobias was her best friend after all.

"San Diego. Oh La La." Melrose continued her jesting, as she collapsed on her bed. "I think it's on silent." she whimpered, not hearing anything. Melrose looked up from her pillow, "Thanks for trying though." And then she noticed Lyra's excessive interest in Tobias. Melrose heard they were the best of friends and perhaps, thinking now, it might have been a bad idea to bring it up. She might have a thing for him. Melrose shut the worrying out. It doesn't matter either way. She does not and will not have a crush on Tobias. There is no time for boys and their cute faces.
"Well, I wouldn't call it a "meet up". It wasn't planned. I had my first day at working at Pizza Planet yesterday. It was rough, so I thought I'd take a stroll on the pier and that's when I saw Tobias. I thought I'd say "Hi", ya know? I don't really know him that well." She rolled on to her back, looking up at the ceiling. Melrose had hung a George Clooney poster on the ceiling to look at every night. He was far too old for her, but hey, he was still nice to look at. "Plus, I heard you guys were great friends. He's very kind, I can see why." She smiled, looking over at Lyra.

"No problem," Lyra said quietly and she hung up her phone after it went to voice mail. She reached down to her bed pocket and put it in the phone pocket section. Lyra sat on her bed criss-cross, her elbows on her knees and her chin on her palms. Lyra listened to Melrose's story, trying to watch out for tone shifts, facial expressions... anything. Lyra was debating to text Tobias, asking about his night with Melrose, and if Melrose admitted anything about liking him or thinking he was cute, maybe she would tell Tobias. Would it be the right thing to do? Hmmm... but that thought only lasted about two seconds in her mind since she was focusing on Melrose.
"Oh you work at Pizza Planet?" Lyra had a job during her junior year. She hated it, it was the worst. GameStop was a boring place to work. "Yeah, he's really nice," Lyra said, switching her position so her back was against the wall. It was cold and uncomfortable but it was better then slouching. "Do you like him?" Lyra flat-out asked.
