"I think I know Sibirus. Well, I've seen him. Two times he's used his powers. When I was in the park and in the cafeteria.", Samantha said. "He stopped Jamie and Artemis's fight, and when a girl in the park discovered her power. I'm guessing the girl who had a breakdown goes here."

"I can't use my powers in pub-" Lyra stopped talking. She could use her powers in public if she wanted to. In an extreme sense of kidnapping or something forced on her. Lyra was her very own rape whistle. But when thinking about it... nobody could really use their powers in public, only if they wanted to look weird or end up in a mental ward.

"Cora." Melrose blurted out. "I mean her name is Cora, the girl who discovered her new power. I was there in the park too."
Melrose frowned remembering how guilty she felt. She had gotten so excited over the situation when it was occurring, she had never witnessed such a thing before. But it was the wrong thing and time to get interested over. "Her aunt's going to die."

"New power?" Lyra found it weird, all these people discovering new powers. It was so late in their time too. Most people found it when they hit puberty or something. Lyra's eyes saddened, she tried to frown and appear sad and Melrose's comment about Cora's aunt dying, but Lyra... couldn't show that she cared. She didn't even know Cora, or did she? Let alone show emotion for death. "That's terrible," she commented.

Melrose nodded, staring at the ground, totally beating herself up on the inside.
"She discovered that she can sense when people close to her are going to die. Something like that." Melrose shook the painful memory out of her head. That was over, there was no need for her to criticize her actions in the situation any longer. She wanted to change the subject, and quick. "So... do you guys hang out at the sparring room usually? I was on my way here when I saw signage for it. I'm guessing it's for the arena." She turned to Jamie, "Will this be your first fight?"

Samantha shook her head. "Never been there yet. I'm not interested in fights. But I could watch some people practice."

Lyra frowned and pouted her lips after viewing Melrose's expression. Maybe she was related to that aunt in someway. "I go to the sparring room occasionally," Lyra replied, " I was there with Jamie yesterday, but our time was cut short," she said. "Otherwise I go up there with my friend TK-er, Tobias," Lyra said, calling Tobias by his full name. She seemed to be the only one who called him TK. "I practice combat moves with him, otherwise for singing I come here to train my voice- not like, actual screaming though," Lyra explained. Her eyes darted to the side- she must have sound like a brat 'oh I sing real good and do hand-to-hand combat,' but it was what Lyra enjoyed. Besides, it never hurt to learn how to fight. Especially when people are shooting lightning, fireballs, sharp teeth... screaming and waiting for an effect wasn't good enough.

Melrose listened to Lyra and Sam's replies but then looked up from her gaze at Jamie. He obviously caught on to what she was up to. "Hey, watch it cutie. I'm smooth like that." she joked, shaking it off and hardening her outer shell to appear as if it no longer bothered her. Though Melrose knew it would be bothering her for much longer. "If you want, we can all head over there? Maybe? Mr. Sharpie over here needs to get in some practicing it sounds." she motioned back to Jamie with a confident smile on her face.

Lyra nodded slowly at the small conversation between Jamie and Melrose about hotstuff or something like that. "Sure, I'll join you guys at the sparring room," she said. The change in scenery would be nice.
