Karaoke Time!

Jamie looked around before putting a sound barrier around the table so their voices were mumbled to anyone outside the table. "The green glow is the form the energy takes. I can destroy things with it, I still don't know much about it...Like where the things go when I destroy them.." Jamie said speaking normally now.

"I work with pitch," Lyra said, fixing herself in a more comfortable sitting style. She pretty much just crossed a leg. " I use my voice, scream something, it hurts the ear , a lot. I can uh, change your status ailment, cause confusion, put you to sleep... things like that," her voice continued to stay quiet. She looked around, making sure nobody was hearing. "But in second to that, I have sensitive hearing. So... whenever I scream, I can get affected and my ears ring in pain," Lyra sat back on her seat. Lyra did not like to explain her powers, there were a lot of technical aspects to it, but screaming could have been a more simple way to describe her power.

[Melrosie Marshal]

"Geez." Melrose was in a trance of interest. She said that word a lot though, "Geez". She hadn't really noticed it until now.
"Geez." Yep, there she went again, "If you people are not the coolest people to walk the planet, I don't know who is." she tried not to squeal to loudly as she continued, "Did you know there's this guy that control emotions? His name is Siburis. He's really quiet and kind of lonesome but he's very welcoming when you-" Melrose stopped the gushing when she noticed the sort of globe Jamie had put around them. It was only seen for a second though as the sight of it disappeared almost on instant. Melrose had no idea what it was. All she couldn't mutter was another, "Geez."

"That's My opponent." Jamie replied smirking in anticipation. "We are going to fight at the arena soon." Jamie said smirking still this was going to be fun.

Lyra giggled and blushed with Melrose's expressions. She was so darn cute! "Your gift is cool too!" Lyra smiled at Melrose, "I would love to have speed like yours- running would be much more fun! And cleaning!" Lyra exclaimed. Melrose then spoke of someone who control minds. "Oh, there's another one who controls emotions?" Lyra sounded confused. "Aaron- I don't know if you know him, but he's a junior and he has empathetic powers as well," Lyra said.

"Yes, I beleive he's used It a few times on me also." Jamie said frowning in memory" I have yet to find a way around it."

[Melrosie Marshal]

Melrose nodded to Jamie, "No kidding, right? He always gives me this happy, Christmas morning feeling. Like I said, he's pretty kind. You have to let me know when you battle. Geez, I've yet to see gifted people duke it out. Sounds dangerous. Though exciting, no doubt."
She then blushed, taken aback by Lyra's comment. No one had ever called her power "cool" before. Her brother, Mason, said it was "dumb" and useless to his water manipulating gift. He too was a gifted. Melrose's father thought is was "odd". And her mother and cousin didn't like to address it too much. "Lyra, thanks! I won't lie, super cleaning can be fun. You do get things done much faster. Like homework, for example. That only takes me 10 to 15 minutes a night." Melrose announced proudly but Lyra's second comment quickly turned her train of thought.
"Aaron? No. I'm afraid I can't say I know him. But he controls emotions too? Geez. Is he nice?" the topic of gifted people was always a topic Melrose liked to stay on.

"Well he doesn't like using it.", Samantha said. "I judge by the way he looks when he's doing it."

"Ha, He seems kind of closed minded to it though.." Jamie replied, when he's seen him use the power he always looked kindof.....Angry?

"He doesn't like talking about using powers or when other people use theirs. I was texting him about it one time and he says he finds his powers more as a babysitting job," Lyra said. She felt bad they were talking about him, "he uses his powers to protect people more than have them feel sick, or mad, or upset," Lyra said. It made sense that knowledge. Using your powers to help rather than harm or fear.

(I'm so confused! Who looks angry when they are using their powers? I've never seen Aaron or Siburis use their power so...)

[Melrosie Marshal]

"Angry?" Melrose twisted her face in thought trying to remember Siburis's face. She had yet to see him angry. Then again, she'd only seen him twice. "Is he usually angry? You guys wouldn't consider him to be a... oh I don't know.... a mean guy?" she asked innocently. They obviously knew more than she did.

"I see. I never looked at it that way..." Jamie said biting his lip harshly.

[Melrosie Marshal]

"Babysitting." Melrose repeated, nodding in agreement to the sense in this guy's philosophy. "I'll have to meet this Aaron guy. Do introduce me sometime, yes? Oh who am I kidding! Introduce me to all the gifted you know." Melrose joked. Though she actually did mean every word of it.

( I thought we were talking about Siburis xD

"I've never met Siburis so I can't say," Lyra said, shrugging to Melrose's question about him. He seemed interesting enough though. Little did she know that it was the guy who copied Artemis' power in the lunch room and shot fire back at her. Lyra left before anything else could happen, she didn't want to get in a fight.

"I hope I can find out how his power works before the fight..." Jamie said thinking it would be better safe than sorry.
