Lyra grinned at the claps, especially from Melrose-mama who seemed to enjoy it rather much. She walked down the stage and sat back at her seat. Once again Lyra was in shock at Jamie's forehead. "Wh- how did you get- huh?!" She was confused. Normally sharpie marks would live on your skin forever if it was on you, let alone smear if you tried to wipe it off.

But Tari's voice drew her attention from the stage.
"Huh? What do you mean? Oh no, are we not allowed to use our powers off campus?"
Melrose bit her lip, feeling like she should have known better. It made sense as a rule, Melrose had never used them much in public back at home. Maybe it was when Penelope had told her that this place was free that Melrose's mind went a bit astray in practical thinking.

"Yeah, we don't really want to end up in a lab or something. But it's okay, you didn't know, and it seems no one noticed", she gave her a friendly smile,"Oh, I'm next", she said, going up to the DJ and telling her song choice, it was a bit somber but not really. She felt it fit, with summer and all.

"Yeah. Right. Good thinking, Tari." Melrose gave a sigh of relief, she was afraid the school was going to light her on fire now or something. But getting thrown into a lab isn't so "hunky dori" either. "Break a leg!" she called watching Tari make her way over to the DJ. Melrose eyes then landed on Lyra, who was practically her star child now. Though she seemed dumbfounded at Jamie's head.
Melrose hesitated, "It was me. The one who did the forehead. It was me. I'm sorry though, " she bit her lip again, looking over at Jamie's squeeky clean head, "I didn't know."

Tari took a deep breath and walked upon the stage, she waited as the song began,"Hey silly boy, I think I got a thing for you, From late nights spent driving in this stolen car. Samantha clapped for Lyra, when she finished. Then she looked toward the stage when Tari got on.

"Oh?" Lyra looked over at Melrose, "do you have healing powers or something?" Lyra questioned her. Her voice was quiet, at a whisper when she mentioned powers. When Tari started to sing, Lyra was quiet. She tapped her foot to the song and clapped when she was done, waving goodbye when Tari left.

"Oh!" Lyra nodded, then that made sense, with the whole friction and speed thing. Good call. Super speed would be nice, cleaning the house would take a lot less time.

Melrose rubbed the back of her neck, lowering her voice, "No. I mean Yeah. Like Jamie said - I have superhuman speed. I basically "super scrubbed" Jamie." she couldn't help back laugh at the way it sounded saying it. And that she was repeating them.
Tari finished her song and left. Melrose waved her a goodbye and then continued, turned to answer to Jamie's comment, "Wait. Artemis? Were you the two ruffing it up a bit in the dinning hall yesterday? You had" Melrose stopped, dropping into a whisper, "glowing arms? Yeah?"

"Hah, yeah that's my other power...." Jamie said blushing lightly, Apparently she had seen it. "It's called Touch Tackle Telekinesis." Jamie said lowering his voice as he said that.

"Huh? Glowing arms?" Lyra's attention turned to Jamie. She forgot about his touch-tackle telekinesis... or he didn't tell her. She only knew of the sound waves. "How does that work? Glowing arms?" Lyra whispered. She was confused.

"Geez. You guys are insane." Melrose couldn't believe all these powers she had seen so far and it had only been her second day at Oceanside. "In a good way. You are insane in a good way," she clarified.
"How about you Lyra, if you don't mind me asking. What is your ... um gift?" Melrose battled with how to word the question properly.
