"Good evening to you too, Vergil." He greeted, touching the boy's shoulder warmly. "Well, this is Off-Key Karaoke." He waved around the room, leaning onto the table. "I'd suggest singing, but I'm working on the song I want at the moment."

"I vould noht know vhat tu seeng," Vergil said with a slight laughing lilt to his sleepy voice, "I vhas hopeeng yu vould goh fhurst." He looked around with open curiosity, liking the feel of the atmosphere. The beads on his arm gave an approving purr, serving only to relax him further.

Mykel nodded, standing slowly. "This song is called "Room to Breathe" and is by Anthony Rapp." He announced, the music starting up slowly. "I still take you to bed, but it's the you I face instead, Where I use every word I never said to crack you open. There was barely room to breathe, getting the skeptic to believe that the goal wasn't to leave one of us broken." He started off softly, breathy, getting slightly into the lyrics.

"I'm the tune of a lesser band, sea legs on dry land, thinking how you forfeited your hand to keep us from winning. I watch them orbiting around you now, just like you showed them how, and you reach out like the hand of God, a tap will keep them spinning." He breathed, voice low, appropriate for the song.

Vergil watched Mykel hit the buttons on the remote to get the background music to the song he wanted and was about to flip through the books to find one for himself when his attention was very much ensnared by the older boy. He watched him attentively with a smile, undoing the scarf to set it aside.

"It's what the loss of our friends brings, it's in the way you held my strings, it's now all the little things I can't help but down.Sometimes I wish I'd never known just how brilliantly you shone, right before you threw the stone to cast me out." A bow, and Mykel slipped off the stage, face bright with the thrill of singing.

Vergil clapped enthusiastically, eyes shining with eagerness, before pulling a song book onto his lap when he was done, "That vhas vehry gut, Mai-khul! Du yu lyke tu seeng?" He glanced up at him when he asked, flipping through each page and skimming the titles.

Mykel nodded. "I love singing. It's almost like.... it's almost like vocal lightning. It's powerful stuff, music." He smiled, leaning over the song book.

"I muhst ahgrree, et ess," Vergil replied softly as a finger trailed down every row. He paused when he hit a very familiar title to him Silbermond's "Irgendwas bleibt". "I theenk I vould lyke tu du thess vohn..." Double checking the number, he followed in Mykel's example and pointed controller at the machine when inserting the digits.

"Well, go on up then!" Mykel encouraged, smiling softly. "I'm sure you'll do great."

The song he chose was commonly sung by a female but being young he could manage the softer, feminine tones that were required of it. He cleared his throat of sleep and looked shyly to Mykel, taking a deep breath to calm his insecurities and begin, "Sag mir, dass dieser Ort hier sicher ist und alles Gute steht hier still.." He paused to quietly take another breath before the next line to up the pitch, "Und dass das Wort, dass du mir heute gibst, morgen noch genauso gilt."

Mykel smiled back, noticing Vergil's shyness. He probably didn't sing much. His voice was very nice, actually, the older realized, smiling up at the boy, watching him.

Vergil shut his eyes when he had to strain a little to make his voice sound, like one would say, flowing with emotion- a sound of heartbreak, "Hol mich aus dieser schnellen Zeit. Nimm mir ein bisschen Geschwindigkeit." He opened his eyes once again and smiled with a little more confidence to Mykel, deciding to take a step toward him upon the stage and reach out to him as he continued.

Mykel blushed slightly, and smiled back, keeping his eyes on Vergil's the whole time, swaying lightly.

The end of the song neared and Vergil faded out with it, both hands on the microphone, "Gib mir einfach nur ein bisschen Halt. Und wieg mich einfach nur in Sicherheit. Hol mich aus dieser schnellen Zeit." He looked down shy again and whispered the last of the lyrics, "Nimm mir ein bisschen Geschwindigkeit. Gib mir was.. irgendwas, das bleibt..." Done, he set the microphone aside and stepped off the stage with a laugh, "Vhell that vhas sertainle.. diffuhrent."
