Carson woke at six with help for her alarm. She wanted a little extra time to wake up today. When she sat up in bed, a strange sensation overcame her; she felt as though something was wrong, but she couldn't tell what it was. Something in her gut made her feel as though today was going to be a terrible day. Carson brushed away the feeling. She couldn't think of any reason why today would be bad day. Plus, she wasn't psychic, couldn't see into the future. She was just a fire manipulator. She shook her head. Something still didn't seem right. There was an essence looming about of unknown orgin, and she didn't like it. She decided to wait for Cora to wake up. Cora had some sort of psychic type powers... manipulation over love, being able to predict whom one would fall in love with? Seemed fairly psychic to Carson. She sat there in bed, watching Cora as she slept; waiting.

Cora stirred from her depressing dream about betrayal. She huffed. Sitting up and untangling herself from the sheets. When Cora saw Carson, she nearly died. She raised her eyebrows. It was so obvious. Here comes Cora, the love oracle. "Carson. I now know what my dream of love betrayal was explaining," she said, getting up. It was around five-thirty. Time to talk. "I'm going to change and stuff. Then we can eat while we talk." Cora slipped on a blouse, jean shorts, and ankle boots. She grabbed a bagel and layered it in butter and handed another to Carson with cream cheese. "Okay, now explain," she said.

Carson slipped into some clothes, took the bagel from Cora and followed her out the door. "I dunno, just when I woke up I got the strangest feeling that something was wrong... I don't even know how to explain it..." She stared down at her shuffling feet as they walked side-by-side down the hallway.[data]What she's wearing: i673.photobucket.com/albums/vv94/TomBoySk8r99/CarsonsOutfit6.jpg

"Oh," Cora said, looking down. So it wasn't just her, "that is quite unfortunate. I assumed that you knew when I saw you watching me. I had this dream of betrayal. I assumed it was due to love because I can manipulate that sort of stuff." Cora glanced at Carson, hiking her tote back up on her shoulder.

"Well, what do you think it was?" Carson asked, growing more intrigued by the moment. "Betrayal you say? Who exactly does this affect I'm wondering? If I could feel it too it must have been someone we're both close to... I'm guessing someone in the room. Artemis maybe?" Carson thought for a moment. She had no clue what Artemis's love-life was like, or if she even had a boyfriend. Artemis seemed to keep her distance from Cora and herself. "Do you think this so-called betrayal or whatever has already happened, or is to happen in the future?" Carson cast a glance at Cora, looking layed back, but on the inside she was a bit shaken-up. She shoved both her hands into her capri pockets.[data]What she's wearing: i673.photobucket.com/albums/vv94/TomBoySk8r99/CarsonsOutfit6.jpg

"Already happened. The dream was an innocent game of spin-the-bottle, the voice of three men. One of them sounded like...exactly like--" Cora couldn't saw Jamie's name. Not until she asked. Cora sticks her thumb in a jean pocket, letting her palm and fingers lie on her hips.

"Exactly like who?" Carson wanted to know. Her face clearly displayed her absolute confusion. She cocked her head to the side, waiting for Cora's reply, unknowing of what exactly she was getting at. Had Artemis been playing spin the bottle with her boyfriend and other people? If that was the case, and Artemis had gotten upset because whoever it was had to kiss another person besides herself, it was their fault for playing the game in the first place. They knew the stakes when they decided to play. Carson was clearly unaware of what Cora knew, still thinking this was about Artemis rather than herself.

Cora gulped. "Exactly like Jamie, Mykel, and Vergil playing spin-the-bottle," she explained simply. Cora could be blunt if she wanted to. Cora stopped to see how Carson would take to the shock. It was agony, like waiting for the body to take the heart of another person.

Carson stopped in her tracks and stood there, stationary for a moment. She wasn't able to grasp Cora's words immediately, but soon it came to her. Her arms and head went limp and drooped for a mere second before she was able to pull herself together and contain her emotions. "Oh second thought Cora, I'm not hungry anymore..." Carson muttered, almost a whisper as she turned and slinked back to the room, her head down.
Once Carson re-entered the room, she sat down on her bed, staring down at her lap. Her face was emotionless, but her mind was in a frenzy. She had no clue what to do, but if one thing was for sure, it was that she wasn't going to show anyone how she felt inside.

Cora didn't hesitate to follow Carson. Carson had a talent for composure, as did Cora. She walked in the room with her poker face on, then sat down on her bed located next to Carson's. "There is no point--" Cora stopped. There is no point in hiding your feelings. She could never say that to Carson. For, she, too, hid the monumental, irrevocable, pain that she had to live every second with. "You can talk to me," she said, looking at her feet.

Carson looked up at Cora and showed the girl the ugliest scowl she could muster. "Just leave me alone, I'm fine!" She grumbled, obviously not fine. Carson looked at her watch and let a loud huff of air out through her nose, then grabbed her phone, key, and a wad of cash and left, slamming the door to the room, leaving Cora in the dust.

Cora watched her go. She had to follow. So she did. She needed to tell her that what she's going thought doesn't even matter. She only knew the damn kid for a few weeks. Not forever like she had.
Cora followed Carson, scowl cemented to her face.

Cora woke up early and threw on a deep blue dress with lace straps. She shoved some cereal and milk down her throat and grabbed her tote. She had some homework to do, and the secret passageway was the perfect place to do. Cora grabbed her key and roamed down the hall to the common room.[data]What she is wearing: shopimages-pe.delias.com/159912_nvy_fr.jpg

Carson sat up as her alarm sounded and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. As she slipped on some clothes, she felt the pain from yesterday's events still lingering. She tried brushing the thoughts away; it wasn't worth still being upset over. She'd set her alarm for 5:45 today so she'd have time to eat breakfast. Carson exited the room, not even making eye contact with anyone on her way down to the cafeteria. What she's wearing: i673.photobucket.com/albums/vv94/TomBoySk8r99/CarsonsOutfit7.jpg[data]

Carson sat up in bed. This morning she felt refreshed and relieved. Hopping quickly out of bed, she ran to got take a shower and then slipped on some clothes. Carson flung open the mini-fridge door and noticed there was some cold pizza wrapped in tin foil. Before bothering to ask who's it was, she unwrapped it, threw away the foil and munched on it on her way out the door. "No need to go down to the dining hall this morning!" She thought contently.[data]What she's wearing: i673.photobucket.com/albums/vv94/TomBoySk8r99/Carsonsoutfit2.jpg
