Cora stole a look at the clock. It was seven am. She sighed. Still not used to the time change yet, she huffed in her mind. Cora got up, opening the curtains just enough so a slight stream of flight could escape from the heavy barrier of the curtains. Cora ran a brush through her wavy hair and slipped on a pair of dark was skinny jeans, black ballet flats, and a lavender blouse. She slips on a beige jacket and heads out the door, hoping that IHOP is open.

Cora was really beginning to hate herself. She awoke at four am, fully rested, of course. She growled to herself. She needed a walk out in fresh air. It would just be on campus, however. Cora pulled on a pair of jeans and her dad's bulky sweatshirt before she walked out the door, key jingling happily against her thin wrist.

Cora rolled over and whipped her phone out from under pillow as it vibrated. She groaned, glancing at the clock. She felt beside herself, definitely not in shape to go to school, yet not so bad to go to the Infirmary. A mental health day. "Hello?" she managed. "Sweetie! How are you?" the peppy voice of her mother exclaimed. Cora moved the phone away from er ear just a bit so she didn't go deaf. "Fine." "Me, too. Your father just flew to Japan for two months. Luke started school September 1st. So I am very lonely. Luke won't even let me help him with his homework. He tells me it's easy." "What grade is he in? Fourth?" She asked. She was unsure. "Yeah. He's working on memorizing his multiplication tables and working on fractions," she frets. "He'll be fine. Mom, I gotta go. School. I love you. Bye," she replied, pausing so her mother could say goodbye. "Okay, dear. I love you, too, bye." Cora hung up and changed into a pair of denim leggings, flats, and a baggy T-shirt before flopping back under the covers to sleep.

"Gah my room my wonderful couped up cluttered room" She ssaid plopping herself down on her bed. Inhaling she didnt want to do anything. Not move not breath, think, blink, nothing. She needed to get her ring back and sleep.
"UGH!" She said not caring who she woke up. Crawling under the covers Missy lay her head on her pillow. For some odd reason she kept thinking of Noah...Shaking the thought away Art closed her eyes as she attempted to sleep.

Artemis stirred in her sleep. The last thing she remembered was dean turning into a fog type thing and swirling around her. It was great. She remembered making her way back late last night. Waking up Artemis yawned as she stood up.
"Shower time" She said getting her things ready as she left her room. Making her way down the hall to the shower she slowly stepped in turning on the water.
Finally as Artemis dressed again in her room she pulled her hair up like always as she felt her stomach. "Ok ok I hear ya" She said looking to her stomach. Cafetieria here we come.

Cora awoke is a sweat. She she felt much better today, but not well enough to return to school. Tomorrow, most likely. She groaned, reaching for a tissue. She blew her noise and balled it into a wad and tossed it in the trash can. "What kind of diseases do people have in California?" she growled, her voice cracked and sore. She know that her body was still getting used to the diseases that have mixed from around from the country. Cora looked at her tattered pajamas and stood, her legs extremely wobbly. She changed into sweats and a long sleeved v-neck and flopped back under the covers, downing a Tylenol as a headache flooded to her head. She turned on the TV and began to watch Cartoon Network, something that she was forced to watch with her baby brother Luke

Cora shuffled around the room, making beds and folding clothing. She really felt the room was getting messy, and she took it upon herself, just as she did after the sushi incident, to clean it. Cora let the sunlight peer in, opening the windows to air out the room. She set a vase of fresh flowers on her dresser. Cora scowled at her dirty clothing. The room looked amazing, while Cora, however, did not. She hovered over her schedule, casting a look at it. She decided a walk around town was in order. She threw on a pair of skinny jeans, ballet flats, black blazer, white tee, and scarf. She quickly did her makeup and pulled it up like this and walked out the door, sighing.

Cora jabbed the key in the old door and swung it open. It creaked as if to welcome her, and she gently shut it. She threw her tote on her unmade bed and fell back on the rumpled sheets. She sighed. Cora was still coping with the death of her aunt, who was the only person who knew about her powers other than her family and grandmother. And now that she was dead, she wished her aunt could have seen her once more before she died. The voices in her head were now a soft whisper, and it was easily ignored. She was unable to use her powers, but really liked it here. She didn't quite fit in, with her useless power. Cora chuckled to herself, suddenly wishing she had magical powers. Cora stood, grabbing a bag of Cheetos and settling down to do her mountain of homework.

Carson woke slowly and scowled, as if angry with the sunlight that had crept in through the window and lulled her out of sleep. She frowned and looked at the time - 11:50. Slipping out of bed, she dressed herself in sweats and wandered out into the hallway looking for mischeif. There was always someone knew to meet, something new to try, somewhere new to go, and since the schoolyear had started she'd been blatantly disregarding that. She'd even missed Homecoming! Carson sighed, remembering the dress she'd picked out. She wear it for another occaision someday...

Cora blinked back sunlight. Yes, the golden rays spilled into the room, making her pop open her eyes. The light blinded her, and she moaned and blinked a few times until she could bear the light. Cora chucked off her rumpled pajamas, made her bed, and slipped on a pair of jeans and a white tank top. She threw on a light cardigan and her boots. Tying her hair up in a knot, she walked out the door to see Carson, staring blankly at the door to the room across the hall. Carson had warmed up to her, it seemed, and maybe they could be friends. "Hey," she said causally, turning on her cell and stuffing a twenty dollar bill into her pocket.

Carson turned to see her room mate. "Oh, hi there." She greeted back, letting out another sigh. "Sun wake you, too? That's what you get when you don't close the blinds, smart one." Carson joked, smiling.

Cora beamed and laughed. "I've learned my lesson!" she replies, then turns to the snoring Artemis. "What I don't get is how Artie over there sleeps through everything? She must either be sleeping off hangover, or using a sleeping pill. possibly 1 too many." Cora glanced at Carson. Her stomach grumbled. "You wanna get something to eat?"

"Sure. And you get the honor of paying since I'm flat-out broke!" Carson teased, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "I was gonna head down to the common room, maybe the dining hall for breakfast, but since we're going out just give me a minute to fix my hair and slap on some makeup and then we'll be all set." Carson informed, and dashed back into the dorm room.

Cora looked at her pocket. Twenty dollars didn't go as far as they used to. Cora, realizing the bags beneath her eyes, she swiftly turned around and slut the door. She didn't care how loud it was; Artemis wouldn't wake. Cora stood at her dresser, fixing her mirror, and used her concealer to hide her bags and the few blemishes that dotted her face. She brushed on blush and coated a thin layer of mascara on her eyelashes. She secured a stray lock of hair with a bobby pin and plopped on her bed to wait for Carson.
