"Theory and Mythbusters, myself. I must admit, Sheldon and Adam are my fangirl moments." She laughed. "Chuck's alright, I've seen it once or twice."

"Well Chuck and Sarah are my favorite couple. I'm a hopeless romantic, what can I say?" Derek rolled his neck and commented, "Mythbusters is a good show. I try to catch it when it's on."

"When in doubt, use C-4." Tahlah quoted, hands near her mouth to imitate Jamie Hyneman's mustache.

Derek laughed at her impression. If only things were that simple sometimes. "I don't know if I said it, but thanks for hanging out. It's been nice relaxing with you."

"It was nice being with you as well, Derek." She laughed softly, smiling. "We should hang out more."

Derek nodded. "Yeah, that'd be nice." Looking around, Derek asked, "Since we're still out, what do you want to do now?'

"Ye-" Derek was cut off by the beeping of his watch again. His earpiece started to fuzz and a familiar voice cut in. -We need you, downtown. Now.-
Frowning, he looked back at Tahlah. "Perhaps another time, I have to go. Sorry." Derek then pushed off the ground, and flew off into the sky.

Hana made sure no one saw her and then lied onto the grass. It was soft, surprisingly. She held the ring up towards the moonlight, seeing the light glint off it. I wonder if this helped her 'control' her powers. she bit her lower lip feeling a twinge of regr-- LOLJK, Hana doesn't have morals.

Once again, a new place had never failed to surprise him. He had already been here for more than half a week, but the jet lag was still taking a toll on him. Seoul where he came from was seventeen hours ahead of Oceanside, so now when it was eleven here in California, it would be eight in the morning on a Wednesday. Talk about confusing. Just about now, back in Seoul, his sister Ariana would still be sleeping. Being five years younger than him, she was not fit to go to this school. In fact, having being home schooled for practically his whole life, this was his first time out of Korea.
He had noticed that many people had different accents to his--a Korean-British accent. This was probably an American accent. It might have been sad to consider the fact that he was so out of touch with the Western culture, but his family had decided that they wanted to do things the "traditional Korean way", leaving him a bigger task of trying to fit in. He was unsure as to how to converse with some people, seeing their varied personalities, but at least he didn't have too many blank outs.
Despite the clear skies, the air was cool, around the usual summer temperature in Seoul--meaning that he was wearing a sleeveless shirt and black shorts along with his fingerless gloves, neck chain and sneakers. His wraparound sunglasses were still pushed up to his hairline as he wandered the grounds aimlessly. A student here, a student there, some doing homework, some talking to others.
(( Blergh, crappy ending. x.x )) [/color]

Hana felt the slight breeze as she walked out into the courtyard. She wore normal denim shorts, and a grey tank-top layered with a thinner white one on top. She fingered the ring inside her pocket, wondering what the blonde would do when she found out this item of hers was gone.
Looking around she saw that there was another kid, probably new, but since she had just arrived everyone was 'new' to her. Probably didn't have his schedule in yet, she got hers but it wasn't finalized so she felt no need to go to class. Instead she just lied in the grass, looking up at the sky wondering how she'd get past security and into the city.

Derek made his way from class, not wanting to eat lunch. He'd rather take the walk he wanted to take since this morning. A short one for now, he'd probably call up Tahlah after school. Maybe show her some of the secret passages? A date to Mission? Ha. I wonder if she'd ever accept. Walking past the grounds, Derek noticed two people standing around. One was a boy he'd never seen before, the other wa- wait.
No way. It can't be. Derek instantly tensed up at the Asian girl that seemed like she was impatiently waiting. God, somethings never change, do they? Derek cautious walked near her, out of her sight, and simply said, "Hana."

She perked up the moment she heard her name, sure of the fact that the only person who knew her name here was that Tahlah girl. Shit, I knew I should have told her an alias, now she's probably going around telling people about the new ki-- she stopped thinking, her mind now blank upon the sight of Derek. What in the WORLD is HE of all people doing here?! That goodie-two-shoes might cause me problems, ugh.
Hana stood up, stiff and rigid, folding her arms across her chest, "Derek."

Derek turned his eyes cold, turning back into his impassive self. He never expected to see Hana again, especially after they had such a falling out. Meeting again, at school of all places, certainly never crossed Derek's mind. His hands clenched by his side, and he couldn't calm down, so Derek kept stiff. Looking her straight in the eye, Derek questioned her, "What are you doing here?"

She gave a small laugh, "Why, I'm here to go to school, of course." Hana looked down at her nails, making sure there wasn't any dirt under them. "Don't worry, it's not like I'm going to destroy anything here; I have no job for being here." She put her hands up in surrender, still looking at him with apathetic eyes. Still though, she was slightly surprised that he would actually be here of all places.
After what had happened last time they fought, fighting here probably wouldn't be the best idea.
