Derek scoffed, "You? School? That doesn't seem like much of a mix." Derek wasn't going to let his guard down around her, he knew exactly what she was capable of. The only reason he survived is because he ran and knew parkour. That she taught me...

Chuckling, she folded her arms again, he obviously didn't trust her to be telling the truth. Which was wise of him, "I know right? But everyone needs a little downtime sometimes." She took a step closer, wondering if that was a safe move. "What are you doing here? I'm just as surprised to see you as well, you know." She leaned on her right leg, giving him a 'What're you gonna do?' look.

Derek quickly lifted his hands, and shot a beam of energy, shaving a single strand off the side of her head. Keeping a cold stare and voice, he answered, "I have powers too." He need to make sure Hana understood what she was going up against. He had people to protect here, he had Olivia to protect. There was no way in hell that he was going to let Hana do whatever she wanted under his sight.

She felt the energy rush by her, her eyes still fixed on Derek's. He's gotten a little better, too bad he won't be my ally anymore. she thought a little miffed. However, Hana's expression stayed blank, they were getting nowhere bantering like this, "Look, I have no job here. Okay? You've probably already gotten close with some people here, and that's your business." Hana brushed off the strand of hair that fell onto her shoulder, "I won't hurt them; I promise." She sighed, this was annoying, did he not hear her the first time she said this?

Derek didn't change his tone. "I'm not worried about your job, or lack thereof. I know you well enough that you'll take what you want, regardless of who gets hurt. We both know I don't agree with it, but while we're here you better not touch anyone at school." Rage was building up in the back of Derek's mind, with tinges of the feelings he used to have for Hana. Regardless, the power was surging toward his hands, and it was taking more and more to suppress it.

She studied Derek's character; Hana knew he was getting frustrated, "Yes, and we agreed to disagree." Once again she put her hands up in surrender, "Just cause I take things I want, doesn't mean I intentionally hurt someone. Besides, there's really nothing here of value that I've seen... yet," remembering she had taken the ring of the blonde girl.
Hana looked down at his hands, wondering if he was going to be able to hold it all in, "If you wish to attack me, then go ahead. Just know I'll attack back."

Derek smashed the energy in his hand, his emotions switching to determination. Sparks flew over the grass, singeing the tips. "Don't do anything stupid. Later." Derek quickly walked away, and made his way back to class. He was going to keep a close on his friends, but a closer eye on Hana.

Hana shrugged and turned away, taking a seat on the grass once more. The only stupid one here is you, boy she thought to herself, feeling a twinge of remorse from their last fight. Short-lived as it was, she hated it when she felt something. She pulled out the ring again.
So... what happens if I put it on...? she thought to herself, tempted to slip it on her ring finger. She scrunched her nose in contemplation and then decided against it, Maybe later. What if I go invisible and see Wraiths or something.

"This place was utterly boring and drawl." Words uttered almost everyday by Richard, he still couldn't figure out what drew him back to this place year after year. The food sucked, the teachers were incompetent (when they actually showed up) and the kids were hormone ridden drama hives. "Disgusting." Richard adored refinement, though it wasn't much interesting when he could have it whenever. Still, he came back here, for his senior year.
Soon, he saw some papers floating out from a window of Einstein halls. Curious, Richard snatched a few out of the air. He murmured while looking over, "Project Icarus... Artificial Genetic Evolution..." Soon Richard's eyes widened.
He'd heard rumors, of a private company attempting to recreate the evolutionary gifts that seemed to be springing up around the country. All top secret of course, but that never stopped the gossip mill. But the project was rumored destroyed, razed by idiotic religious nuts who thought it was something about abortions. Scanning the other paper he noticed a name:
Subject: Olivia Power: Mind Control
Richard quickly racked his head, and soon realized why the name was familiar. Nobody got into the school without Richard knowing, the registrar was head over heels for him, and he'd regularly check the new students. Olivia Flowers was her name, with the same power. Whispering to himself, "If she was a subject... If I had my hands on her..." The power would be immense. Beyond what Richard could create for himself.
An evil glint in his eyes, he strode off quickly to his dorm. A time for a kidnapping. And soon, power.

Students gathered across the lawns, sittings on sheets and blankets, bundled up in jackets and blankets of their own. A giant screen was at the front of the lawn with a project set up so the movie could be seen. There were stands selling hot chocolate, popcorn, smores, and other movie-like goodies. Lyra sat on a blanket, waiting for her friends to show up.

Artemis grabbed and extra blanket just in casee and zipped up her small coat as she left her room. Checking to see if she had her room key she made it to the grounds.
Making a face Missy looked around for some people she could sit with. Looking around she scanned the grass biting her bottom lip a bit. She wondered what movie they would be watching.

Tobias made his way to the grounds after a long day. Lyra, once again, had informed him of a school activity.
Movie-night. That's what Lyra told me. Movies. I like movies.
Wearing a navy blue hoodie and jeans, Tobias arrived at the grounds. He still felt the cold despite his warm clothing. TK walked among the already gathered students. Where would everyone be sitting? They'd probably all be split up. It wasn't really a big deal, but TK would feel more comfortable sitting with a group of friends.
The ground looked uncomfortable. Should have brought something to sit on...

Daphne was laying back on a blanket, her favorite leather jacket zipped up around her to keep warm. For the moment she was looking up at the sky, waiting for the movie. She didn't hear what they were watching but she figured most everyone would be talking any how. Hopefully she would see someone she knew. Maybe even Derek. Though that would be a little weird. Considering how they left things last time and all.
She sighed softly, her eyes skimming the stars, mouthing the names of all the different constellations.

Lyra was looking around, checking up on her phone for any texts if anybody was looking for her or if she needed to trade shifts with someone for student council. Selling popcorn was pretty fun, but it was hard to resist not munching on it.

Inhaling Artemis saw Lyra selling popcorn. Looking around she shrugged. Forgetting food she decided to buy some. "Hey...Lyra" She said running a hand through her hair. "Selling popcorn eh?" She smiled trying to be nice. "Can I get a bag for the movie?" Artemis asked turning around and scanning for a place. There she saw tobias and that Daphne girl.
