Cora opened the door to the library, surprised that it was open this early. The white haired librarian noticed her, smiling slightly. Then she went back to placing books in their shelves. The library had the books you would find in any mortal library, along with ones on magic and other books on powers. Cora rummaged though the books, picking out two that looked interesting along with one on channeling your powers. Cora registered for a library card and checked out her books, sliding the card in her pocket. Cora left, feeling content.

"I don't remember the last time I was actually here," Lyra said to Ethan as they entered the library. Yeah, she needed it for research, but for technical school papers like English and US history and world history, she just used the internet. "I bet you anything there's like, some hidden doorway behind a bookcase," Lyra said.

Cora burst into the library, chucking her books down the shoot. She was about to run out when she saw Lyra and Ethan snooping around. Cora walked up to the largest bookcase, hearing Lyra's words. She glanced at the side of the bookcase. It should be detached from the wall. "Lyra, is it possible that these bookcases are attache to the wall?" she asked, noting the hinges.

"Want me to blow it up again?" he snickered. Ethan was actually having fun with this wild goose chase. Especially since he got to blow things up. Never has he ever had this much fun blowing things up. "This is actually pretty exciting." he whispered, wandering through the shelves of books.

"Don't blow it up, we'll get in trouble," Lyra said. Mmm library make out session. Wait, what? Lyra shook her head. They weren't Daphne and Fred. They were actually on a mystery. Cora showed up randomly and Lyra was startled and she turned around. "Uhh, what? No. Bookcases are against the wall, but that doesn't mean they can't turn," Lyra said. Her attention went back to Ethan, "we could go Fahrenheit 451 and burn all the books. Maybe it unlocks a key."

"No," she said, smiling, "but I do need you to help me see if this bookcase is a door. It's not pushed from the wall as I would expect. And what's with the hinges? They are pretty discreet. " Cora looked hopefully at the boy. She had always loved mysteries.

Mykel slipped into the library quietly, running to the other three. "Okay, so what's going on?"

"Who said there were hinges on the bookshelves or wall? What if it's a hidden door, or it turns?" Lyra looked back at Cora- wait, why was she looking for some secret place? "There are bookshelves against the wall though," Lyra said, pointing to the rows of shelves resting on the wall.

"I don't care. I--when i heard you talking, I got inspired. Okay?" she huffed. "All I'm saying is that there is something odd about this bookcase. Excuse me for not looking closely" She didn't mean to be so blunt, but she felt hideously embarrassed at the moment. She took a step back.

Ethan shook his head and looked to Lyra, "I don't think we're gonna find anything in here for now. Let's go somewhere else." It was only then that he noticed two others had joined them. One he didn't know and the other was his roomie, "Hey there, Mykel." He raised his hand to greet him and then walked out of the library briskly with Lyra at his side.

"We'll split up and search for clues!" Lyra said to Cora and Mykle as she followed Ethan out of the library, wondering where they were going to go next. Maybe a place where they didn't belong. It was summer, not like teachers were there.

After eating a quick lunch by himself, Zesend wandered over to the library, none of the physical facilities catching his interest. He wasn't really into the whole sports scene, and there were bound to be some interesting books at a school for the gifted.
Turns out that there were. Books about the history of the gifted, organizations that were designed to hunt and annihilate them, books about their powers etc. Then there were mundane - yet still interesting - books on ordinary history and science. He ran his hand along the largest bookcase, interested to notice that there seemed to be a set of inconspicuous hinges on the side. Interesting, he'd have to check this out further later; no doubt someone else had noticed?
Glancing at the clock and realizing lunch was almost over, Zesend thought it would be wise to be on his way.

After quite a bit of meandering and walking aimlessly around the school, Sofi pushed open the door to the library, the familiar silence calming her nerves. 'Shake it off!' she thought. She had never been one to be so nervous and it irritated her. Slipping through the maze of book cases, she grabbed a favourite off a shelf and slid easily to the floor. Leaning back against the wall, she cracked open the book, running a hand through her loose blonde curls in one last nervous gesture before finally just relaxing into the story.

Tahlah stopped in awe, staring around the library. "It's huge!" She smiled, eyes glinting. "It's amazing."

Closing the door behind them, Derek nodded. "Yeah, biggest collection in Oceanside. At least that's what they say." To be honest, Derek wouldn't be surprised if they were right. It spanned multiple stories, and seemed to go on forever. Not only the normal books you'd find were here, but books on the gifted, on everything you could imagine.
Slipping his hands into this pockets, he looked toward Tahlah and asked, "Any particular genre your favorite?"
