Nicholas opened the door to the party room for Artemis. Despite it having been over two hours since the party started, it was fairly empty. He walked in with Artemis and looked around.

Artemis smiled as she walked in with nick. She was slightly close to him almost touching his hand. She bit her lip looking around for any faces she knew. "Oh my ring..." She looked at her hand...she left in in her room. "Oh well" She said holding a small box for Tari. Artemis inhaled looking around with nick. "Its big"

"Are you okay without it?" Nicholas asked her, worried. "And yes, it is very big. Fairly empty, though."

Lia walked into the grand hall, amazed that Tari could afford such a place for her birthday. Honestly, Lia didn't know if she was invited or not, but she hung out with Tari before and heard the party mentioned so she assumed it was ok. Besides, there were a bunch of people and one more guest wouldn't make much of a difference. Lia walked around the edge of the dance floor and put her card on the present table, doubting she would get to see the busy birthday girl herself. She felt a bit embarrassed leaving a card, seeing all the large boxes and expensive wrapping paper. Whatever, at least I tried, Lia thought to herself as she took a deep breath. She smiled looking up to Nick. He was much taller then her...but with heels it was a perfect height. "Um..yeah Im sure Ill be fine I just hope I dont get upset" She smiled at him seeing the medium size table for gifts. She set her small box down and soon saw Tari.
She seemed happy enough yet something was stressing her. Perhaps the party. She waved to Art and Nick even though they hadnt really met. She smiled as tari went to walk around a bit more.
Artemis looked to nick. "You look really good tonight" She said again looking up to nick then to her hand where her ring would be.

Nicholas laughed, "You said that already, but thank you, again." He looked around. "So, who's this party for anyway?" he asked her, laughing again. "It's a birthday, right?"

Luv saw a girl in a simple black dress standing by the entrance. The girl looked very bored. It took luv a few minutes to decide if she should talk to her not. She slowly walked to the girl and said "Hey..." She gave the girl a small smile and put her hand out to shake "My name is Luv."

Artemis smiled. "I know but I wanted to say it again" She giggled leaning on him. "And its actually for...a fre-" She stopped. " Her name is Tari..penny like enemy" She laughed. "Its just something fun yeah a birthday" Artemis began to think...I never asked...is nick a hero? I should ask...

"Well of course if she's a hero, she'll be an enemy of Penelope's," Nicholas said "And it does seem... fun, I suppose. I really haven't been to too many party's. Never had anyone worthwhile to go with," he told her, looking down at her, smiling.

Lia watched as different couples and people entered the hall. She managed to see Art and her date walk in, instantly jealous that Art had such a hottie by her side. Lia was going to join them when she heard a voice talking to her. "Oh, hey. I'm Lia, nice to meet you Luv," She said, shaking the girl's hand. "So you go to Oceanside? I haven't seen you around." Lia asked with a smile.

Artemis blushed. "Aww why thank you sir. I am worthy of going with you" She said speaking in a horrible horrible American accent. She smiled looking over to the food then the dance floor. "Yeah pen and tari...no no they yeah just eh" SHe said. "So..not a fan of heroes?" She asked having this her way of figuriing him out.

"You should, uh, stick to your own accent," Nicholas said, "It suits you better." He looked at her, not sure if she was a hero, but said anyway, "No, I am not a fan of heroes. At all. I hate Heroes, actually."

Artemis looked up to him as he spoke. She saw hatred in his face when he spoke about heroes. She nodded lightly ."I see...So If you hate them, why do you go to school with ThemI mean isnt there one for certain people? Or no" She asked him. Honestly she really had no idea about the school.

Though he'd left to his room to get ready for Tari's party several hours earlier, he got caught up in family business that required his immediate attention. After finally finishing up with that (and frantically noticing that it was almost 8 o'clock -- three hours past the start of Tari's birthday party, he rushed to change into appropriate clothes for her party, bumping into the new girl, Anna, and deciding to take her with him, as they were both running late. He drove up in his BMW, handed the keys off to the valet, and walked with Anna into the hotel and to the party room. |
