Olivia had snuck out to the beach, obviously against her brother's will. Well, he did say to keep moving, and I am. I'm never in one place anymore, but I need some relaxation for once. It's true, she was really tired ever since the incident a few nights ago. She was scared, but she wasn't going to stop living. And besides, what are the odds of him finding her outside. That Richard guy probably thought she was a goodie two shoes, and would stay at school. Although she'd had to hide underground for who knows how long, only stopping to sleep in a random dorm.
Walking along the sand she took in the sea side air, appreciating something other than musty smells or someone else's bedsheets. She noticed a young boy, with an obvious worried look on his face. She wasn't sure if she should approach him or not, for all she knew it could be Richard in different form. No Olivia. No fear. She walked lightly over to him, and tilted her head, "You okay?"

Holden jumped. He could of sworn he heard Melrose's voice.
But it definitely wasn't his sister.
"Oh. Ah, yeah. I'm alright. Just enjoying the ocean." He forced a grin and fake laugh. He'd never seen this girl before. She was new.
Holden fiddled with his phone as he shoved it into his back pocket. He threw his flip flops onto the sand and quickly slipped them on. Out of habit, Holden stuck out his hand for a shake. "Holden. Holden Marshal. It's a pleasure to meet you, Ms?" He dragged out the question, hoping for a reply. He regretted the hand shake thing. It was kind of silly. Something his dad had taught him from a young age.

Olivia giggled softly, and shook his hand. "Flowers. Olivia Flowers." Way to use a lame Bond line Olivia. Good going. Olivia relaxed a bit, but she was slightly nervous. Holden was cute to Olivia, boyish but too young. He also bore a striking resemblance to someone at school, but she couldn't put her finger on it. Shrugging it off, she asked, "What brings you to the beach at this time of night?"

Holden rubbed the back of his neck, trying to find the right words.
"Ah, nothing too exciting. Talking to my cousin on the phone back in New York. Trying to escape the rest of the world for a second. What about you?" What was a pretty girl like Miss Flowers doing wandering about so late? He was tempted to ask if she went to Oceanside, but perhaps that'd be a dangerous question. You're not supposed to talk about the school outside of the school itself. It's risky. What if someone found out their secret?
"You go to Oceanside?"
Whoops.

Did Holden go to her school? Or was he from the high school. She knew about keeping the school secret, so she did a quick read over of his mind. Worried about cousin, sister goes to school with him, a tinges of embarrassment, and.... there it was. He went to Oceanside's Gifted School. And he had a good streak in him, so she visibly relaxed even more. With a smile she answered, "Yeah. I do. So no need to worry yourself over it Holden."

"Oh sweet- Wait." Holden took a few steps back, grabbing his head in fear.
"Did you just?" Yeah, she probably did. I mean, she just said she went to Oceanside.
"Did you just read my mind?" Holden asked quickly, rubbing his temples and giving Olivia a dumbfounded look. What if she was reading his mind right now? Did she hear that he called her cute? Oh geez, Marshal, whatever you do, don't think about anything inappropriate. Don't think about ANYTHING.

Olivia giggled. He was embarrassed again, and admittedly, it just made him cuter. "Yes, and yes. But don't worry, I'm selective in what I read, I'm not some sort of mind reading pervert." Pervert? Wow. That's a nice word Olivia. Reeeeeal nice. She continued, "And I'm not reading your mind right now if you're worried. I prefer to talk to boys, and not read their minds." It was true, she didn't use her power often. Then again it had the deadly chance of giving her a gifted version of Alzheimer's, which did worry her. Throwing the thoughts of fear out of her head again, she sat down on the sand, and looked up at Holden. "Now that we're on the same terms, and you know my power, how about telling me yours pretty boy?"

"Pretty boy?" Holden felt his face go warm. What was that supposed to mean? He felt like he was sweating. Holden quickly wiped his brow and continued. Silly giiiirls making Holden sweaty. Ew.
"Um, I have laser eyes." He took of his thick framed glasses, only to put them back on again. "I don't use it much though. It hurts a ton. And I have X-ray vision. But I PROMISE I'M NOT A PERVERT EITHER." Holden spat out at the speed of light. It was necessary whenever he told people his powers, because frankly, that was the first thing that popped into their heads.
"Perverts. We're both not perverts." Holden repeated to confirm.
Suddenly he could feel his phone vibrating.
"Oh shoot, I'm vibrating." Holden reached for his pants, only to stop mid action, pure mortification plastered on his face. "My phone. My phone is vibrating. Excuse me."
He wiped out his iphone, only to find a text from Melrose, demanding he get his butt back to Hercules Hall before she'd lay the curfew police on him hard. What a lovely sister.
"Shoot. I've got to run. The sister's gunna pop a fuse if I'm not home soon. Too bad I can't run as fast as her." He grinned, putting his phone back into his pocket.
"I'll see you around Miss Flowers. Hopefully we'll have more time to talk, yeah?" Holden waved as he began his hike up the shore and toward Oceanside.
Nice night. Nice girl.

Waving toward Holden as he left, she stuck her hand into her pockets. Argh, I should of asked for his number before he left. Well, maybe she'd see him around school. She stood up and wandered the beach. It was a nice night, and she met a new boy, so maybe things were looking up for once. Perhaps the stormy sea she'd been living through was finally gone, and she was in the bay. Either way, Olivia made her way back to school and decided to sleep in Hercules dorm tonight. Best bet to see him again.

Penelope walked from the diner to the beach with Artemis. The walked down the wooden steps to the sandy beach, and Penny, like always, took off her shoes, sand instantly going in between her toes. "It's been a while since I've been down here," she told Artemis.

Artemis looked around as they both walked down to the beach. Shoving her keys in her back pocket she pulled her hair into a ponytail as she skipped on one foot attempting to take her shoes off almost falling over. Feeling the cold sand in between her toes she looked to see Penny had done the same. She nodded. "Yeah it has. Im glad were back" She smiled rubbing her fingers together getting a few embers between them.

Penny laughed at Artemis' clumsiness, as she tied the laces of her boots together and swung them over her shoulder. "Me too," Penny said. The sun had already gone down, and the beach was dark, lit only by street lamps, bonfires, and the moon.

Artrmis inhaled the saltwater smell as a large smile was plastered on her face. "Man god times" She laughed looking around holding her shoes with one hand. "Wonder if the water's cold..." She smirked over to Penny a bit. "Im sure It could use a drastic change in temperature before we dangle our feet in" She laughed.

"We could always warm it up a little," Penny said, turning to face the water and walking towards it to get a feel of how cold it was. She stepped over a line of shells onto the soft, wet sand. It was colder down here, but it wasn't too bad. The water flowed over her feet as a wave came in, and she shivered. "Could definitely use some heat," she said.

Peter walked along the water's edge. He'd just finished moving into his dorm and decided to explore the city, even though it was a weekday. The beach was fairly empty, which made sense seeing as it was February, even though it was california. If he was back home, going to the beach would not be considered a fun event, and the icy waters would not be very welcoming. Nevertheless, he was not the only one on the beach that night. There were other people- teenagers, no doubt- around. He wondered how many of them were from his school, and how many were from the normal school.
