Artemis followed right behind her. Feeling the wet sand soon began to squish between her toes. She shivered lightly as she felt the cold ness of the water. "A def' warm up" She laughed looking around. She saw a few teens in the water as they were shivering but trying t warm up to it. And a few more on the beach. Also a loner boy who was walking along the sand as well. "Alright I dont think anyone would notice" She huffed letting her toes dip in the water. "Cold" She giggled. Inhaling she bent her knees and stuck her hand n the water. The water around her hand turned a fire-y red as the temperature warmed up almost immediately. A few of the Teens looked around as they smile. "Well that wasnt my intention but oh well" She laughed.

"At least its warm now," Penny said, walking further into the water. She had rolled up her pant legs, but that would only allow her to go up to her knees. "What now?" She asked. They could hardly have any fun like this.

As Peter continued to walk, he got closer and closer to two girls, who were standing ankle-deep in the water. One of them bent down, and the water glowed red, and the other then walked further into the water. Peter found this peculiar, and, while a few weeks ago he would have thought nothing of it, he knew that they must be from the gifted school, and the girl who had bent down could heat things. Intrigued, Peter walked towards them. He could see, with every step he took, that they were both very pretty, and about his age. "Hey," he said to them when he was a few yards away. He hoped that he wouldn't startle them.

Artemis laughed as she looked to her shorts. "See im smart" She pointed out in her thick english accent stepping further in. Inhaling she shrugged. "Im not sure...You could put up a field around us and we could mess with the others in the water?" She laughed. But jumped a bit Artemis flailed her hands as she turned to hear someone call to the, her foot slipped as she almost slipped but caught herself. Her hands clenched as she turned to see the one boy. "Ello" She waved with narrowed eyes wondering who he was.

Penny jumped slightly when she heard a voice behind them, though she didn't jump nearly as much as Artemis. She had bee thinking about taking her clothes off, save for her underwear, when it had been just the two of them, but now that there was a boy here, that wasn't such a great idea. Though maybe he'd leave soon. "Hi," Penny said, cautiously.

"Sorry," Peter said. " I didn't mean to startle you, I just saw what you did to the water," he explained, "and wanted to know what it was." He tried to hide a smile, but both girls nearly falling into the water had been a funny sight. He was now standing within the water's edge, and he felt a wave of warm water go over his sandal'd feet. He assumed that the girl had heated the water, but didn't want to say anything in case they weren't and he gave the secret away on his very first day there.

Artemis blinked a few times looking to the by. She shook her head as he said sorry. But she narrowed her eyes. crap someone had saw what she did. "Me? Heat up the water" She laughed crossing her arms over her chest. Missy remembered what Penny had told her in the start. About the scientists kidnapping the students to learn of there powers. "You must have been seeing something." She shrugged but holding out her still slightly heated hand. "The name is Artemis. Call me Missy" She said with a small smile.

Penelope laughed nervously when the boy mentioned 'what Artemis had done to the water'. She wished there was a way to tell if he had powers or not, but it looked as if he didn't. "I'm Penelope," she introduced herself, after Art. "And I'm pretty sure you were just seeing things- we didn't do anything."

"I'm Peter," he said, taking Artemis' hand, which was surprisingly warm, then taking Penelope's which was also very warm, though slightly less so. "It's nice to meet you both."
"So you're not from the school, then?" he asked the two of them, hoping that if they were from the gifted school, they would catch on, and if they weren't, then they would somehow show it.

Artemis took her hand back as it flung to her side. She glanced over t Penny when he mentioned the school. She stepped closer to him as her voice turned into a slight whisper. "The school?" Her eyes narrowed as she looked around. She was seeing if this was some set up or something. "You mean you-" She stopped and sighed taking in a relaxed breath. "You have a gift?" She asked now not really caring since he had already caught her.

"Yes," he said smiling, relieved that he hadn't accidentally spilled the beans. "I can- well, I'll just show you," he sad. He bent down and picked up a piece of a shell. He striked it across his palm, and a line of blood seeped out. The wound healed before their eyes. "And you can heat things?" he asked Artemis. "What about you?" he asked Penelope.

Missy watched carefully as he had said he did have a gift. She was slightly revealed he wasnt working for those creepy scientist. Watching carefully as he had cut his hand her eyes widened with a small smirk. "Well thats pretty cool. Ill be sure to have you by my side in the arena" She joked. "Oh uh yeah Im a manipulator. But uh, more then fire. Its just the one Im the best at" She smiled nudging Penny.

Penny looked at Peter's hand in slight awe, thinking of how great of a power that would be. "Rapid regeneration?" she asked him. "I can do electricity, among others," she told him. "I haven't seen you around here before," she observed.

"Yeah," he said, confirming that his ability was rapid regeneration. "Electricity? Thats pretty cool, as is fire, especially the fact that you can do it in water," he nodded to Artemis. "I'd be worried if you had seen me before," he said to Penelope. "I'm new here, as of yesterday."

Artemis pursed her lips with a small nod. "Pretty cool gift" She told him inhaling as she looked up to the sky. She smiled over to him as she kicked up water slightly in front of her. "Mhm Fire is one of my favorites" She Missy looked around letting the air blow by them, leaving it cooler then normal. Rather then having the water warm and the air cool. She figured it was better if they matched. "New eh? Well welcome to Oceanside" Missy Welcomed him.
