"Yes, welcome," Penny said. Peter seemed like an okay guy, and he was pretty cute, too. "So you'd be in Physical, right?" she asked. "What year?"

"Thank you," Peter said. "Yeah, I'm in the Physical Division," he told the two of them. "I'm a senior." He looked around to see if there was anyone near them, and looked back at the two girls when he saw that they were alone. "What about you two?" he asked.

Artemis inhaled with a small smile. "Hmm" She said looking at him. He did look like her age and surprisingly he was. "Sweet Im a senior as well. Manip Houdini hall" She said looking around. "Looks like its now the three of us" She sort of spoke to herself. Her eyes glanced over to penny with a smirk as she looked back to peter. He did look rather...dashing. Oh lord, how long had it been since nick had passed away? And she was now starting to like boys. This was turning out to be a good day.

Artemis smiled with a nod. "No worries Peter. We got that covered" She smirked turning to Penny. "Well we have bon fire? Penpen can teleport to the store to get some things if we wanted, or...we could-" She stopped. Picking and attacking other teenagers sounded fun to her and Penny but, what if Peter was a hero? She sighed and stopped. "Or something else" SHe laughed with a shrug.

"Yes, we certainly do have that covered," Penny said, smiling to Artemis. Penelope could see where Artemis was going, and she was glad that she stopped. If Peter was a goody-two shoes, he was bound to tell on her and Artemis for picking on people. "A bonfire would be cool," Pen agreed. "What did you do for fun back home?" she asked Peter, hoping that that would give her and Artemis a better idea of what Peter was like.

"Honestly? I didn't have much fun back home," he told Penelope, wishing that he could be of more help in deciding what the three of them did. "I spent most of my time doing school work or taking care of my brother- exciting, I know." He smiled, not wanting things to get too tense.
Peter decided that moving on with the subject would be wise, as he didn't feel like spewing his life story to two girls that he'd just met on a beach. "A bonfire sounds good, I've never been to one," he said, "As long as you two don't mind that it's after curfew and we're not even supposed to be off campus, that is." Unless the girls were completely out of it, they should at least have known that it was a weekday, but he could easily see how they could lose track of time. He figured that they'd be okay with it- neither of them seemed particularly 'bad', but they also didn't seem like the girls that would follow all of the rules quietly.
"You can teleport?" he asked Penelope. Both girls seemed to have much cooler powers than he did. Artemis and Penelope had both said that they had more than one power. Peter wondered how many powers each girl had, and, more importantly, how many powers he had. Was it possible that he could do more than just heal himself? He had never really had a proper briefing about abilities, but if the comics he read as a kid had any kind of truth to them, most superheroes and villains had more than one power. Except for Batman. He just had money.

Artemis smiled at the sound of a Bonfire. She liked the sound of that. It was something she remembered help her fit in at the school. She met a few people last time as well. But who knows if there would be others that night or just the three of them. "Yeah Penny can teleport. She is a Bamf like that" Artemis laughed stepping closer to Peter. "Come on Ill get it started" She said with a small smile as she tugged on his arm. "Who knows maybe PenPen could take you on a run with her for food or...whatever?" SHe suggested with a shrug.

"Yeah, I can do force fields as well," she smiled. "Total Bamf," penelope laughed and wiggled her toes some more in the wet sand. She was glad that the three of them were getting along so well, and Peter seemed like a really cool guy as well.
"What do you say?" Penelope asked Peter. "Teleporting is kind of, well rough, so keep that in mind before you make a decision," she warned him.

The more the two girls spoke about their powers, the more Peter thought that his single power was lame. "How rough is rough?" he asked Penelope, warily. "You know what? Nah, it doesn't matter. Let's go," he said, sort of mentally preparing himself anyway.

Artemis made her way put of the water as they had established the bon fire was on. She smirked lightly as her idea was chosen. "Alright well have fun you two do do anything I wouldnt do" She laughed shaking her head. Making her way over to a pit she starred at it for a bit. Sighing as she thought of her ring and how it was now lost to the depths of the ocean she shrugged it away. Holding up her hands she rubbed them together till they were burning red. Holding them out to the fire pit. Sending to lard spark like fire balls a large fire was soon started. "Oops...no one saw that" she giggled.

"Is there anything you wouldn't do?" Penelope asked Artemis, smiling. She watched as Artemis started the fire, and laughed when she lost control. Penelope turned to Peter and held out her hand for him to take. "Shall we?" She waited for him to take it and then said, "Brace yourself." She closed her eyes and focussed on the store, pulling herself, and Peter, there.

So, you know how Joni hated to stay in one place for a long time? Well, good news! She found some place to cure her sudden boredom! Where was this place, you ask? Oh, but the beach she had heard so much about! So, after taking a prompt shower, and dressing afterwards, she grabbed her sunglasses, one of her many inflatable beach balls she just happened to have, and headed off her her bike towards the beach! It was too much of a perfect day to be stuck inside the school, no matter how much she enjoyed her time there. In all honesty, she was sure that being a new senior in a new school wasn't going to go so well for her, but low and behold, it was pretty amazing. Weaving through a few people as continued her way to the beach, she couldn't help but smile. Why not? It was just that kind of day. Finally, after a short ride, she was at that famous beach she heard so much about. Parking and locking up her bike on a nearby bike rack, she took in her surroundings. People were splashing about near the water, a few kids were playing volleyball a few feet over, and more than a little bit of people were lounging around soaking up the sun. It was absolutely perfect. With a bright grin, she pulled her zebra printed beach towel from the basket on her bike, and made her way towards the beach to find a spot amongst the large crowd of people. |
