The Beach

Lyra looked at him quizzically, "show?" Why show her here? Where there were people. He then took out a sketch book from his messenger bag. So... he could draw? Lyra wasn't the one to judge powers- oh wait, yeah she was- but she would give Ethan a chance. She wondered what powers dealt with paper. Lyra ran after him, her feet coated with sand, which was hot against her wet feet. She sat down next to Ethan, pulling her knees up to her chest. "Anything?" She laid back on her hands and looked up at the sky, trying to think of something good to draw, "...a banana," Lyra looked back at Ethan and raised an eyebrow and puckered her lips, "yes, a banana."

Ethan spat out a laugh, "A banana? Really? You want me, to draw a banana." He laughed and began to draw one anyway, "Well, I guess you were hungry or something."

As soon as he finished the last stroke a glow encompassed the paper and a banana was now in his hand. "Here you go," Ethan said, chuckling and tossing the banana to the girl.

Lyra looked over Ethan's shoulder, watching him draw the banana. It wasn't impressive... it was just a banana, although Lyra shouldn't be the one to judge drawings. She leaned back and tilted her head and she was in awe at the now physical banana in his hand. Lyra sat up straight and attempted to catch the banana, barely catching it with her wrists. "Is- wha? Huh?" She looked down in disbelief, then back at Ethan. "It's... real? How? What is this- I don't even-"

"Yes, it's real. Unless you wanted a fake one, then you should have told me." Ethan said with a wry smile, "Anything I draw manifests itself into reality. I draw whatever I want and whether or not the drawing is fake or real is determined by me." He steadied himself in his criss-crossed position.

"I know it's not that great of a power since it has some awkward limitations, like what if I run out of paper or my pencil breaks in the midst of combat? It's not like I can manipulate the paper itself to form a creature or something, but man would that be cool." Once again going into a ramble about his interests and what he thought would be cool to do with paper.

Lyra examined the banana, trying to find a flaw, if something wasn't right. Now, Lyra wasn't a professional banana inspector and she didn't have a green thumb but she trusted Ethan. It was his power. She peeled the banana and took a bite, which was rather awkward. Lyra didn't like eating anything long or... iinnuendoish around a guy. The banana wasn't bad. "You have quite the talent," Lyra said, holding up the banana as a cheers.

Lyra listened to Ethan talk about his power and nodded, making "mhm" sounds to show she was listening. "You know Ethan, I think that is an amazing power," she grinned at him, then put the banana in her lap. "Draw a uh, a... lamp!" she suggested, oh this would be fun, "no- not a lamp, a um, beach ball!"

[Ethan Hawke]

"You know, I really would, but," Ethan said while getting up and stretching out his stiff limbs, "it's gotten dark and I think we should head back for now." He held out a hand for Lyra to help herself up with and proceeded to head back to the campus with Lyra beside him.

[Penelope Greene]

Penny walked with Nicholas and Art down to the beach. She took her shoes off, like always, and carried them in her hand.

Nick saw Penelope take her shoes off and chuckled to himself as they walked.

Artemis smiled smelling the air. She slipped her shoes off as well as she looked over to Nick then Penny. "Its nice down here" She said lighting a fire in her palm.

"Yeah, it is," Nick said. "So Penny," he addressed her, "What can you do?"

[Penelope Greene]

"What can't I do?" penny asked him, laughing. "Electric manipulation, force fields, and teleportation," she told him proudly. "Yourself?"

"My main power is Telekinesis," he told her.

"Main power?" She said raising a brow. "So you have another?" Artemis asked turning to a few teens as she made giant pot holes in the sand making them fall or trip

"Yeah, but I don't really understand it, well, I do, that's what the power is, but I'm not sure how it works. They told me it was innate capability," he explained to them. "I basically learn really quickly, and I can learn really advanced stuff. Like Telekinesis, it's not something I was born with, it's something I learned."

Artemis raised a brow as she listened to Nick talk. "Wow" She simply said. "That must be kind of confusing not really knowing your ability" She said looking to Penny then back to him.
