Bonfire

[Lyra ♫♪ Calnote]

In the giant tin trash can, Lyra threw in a match and watched the flames go up. She walked backwards as the flames grew, providing a better light than the moon.

Lyra opened the grocery bag that contained skewers, graham crackers, chocolate, marshmallows, and most importantly... hot dogs and buns. It was a bonfire kind-of--night and it wasn't one without cooking hot dogs.

Tobias saw the flame from a distance and smiled, now confident he was in the right place. He jogged up to bonfire and saw Lyra getting the food ready. "Need any help?" he asked as slowed to a stop.

Lyra shook her head, "no, I got it," Lyra handed him the bag, "you can get a hot dog ready though!" Lyra exclaimed. It was a while since they did this. Then again, there were no beaches at home.

Tobias grinned as he chose a hot dog from the package and grabbed a skewer. He carefully placed the hot dog on the skewer so that the bamboo didn't stab through the hot dog's side. "Perfect," he said turning back to Lyra.

"You know it," Lyra said. She stabbed a hot dog through the skewer, but it ended up uneven, accomplishing what Tobias didn't want. "Cheers," Lyra said and her hot dog hit his over the fire. "So what's up with you?" she asked. "I'm thinking we save smores for tomorrow."

[Nefertari Adel]

Nefertari walked up to the beach and looked out and the dark blue sky, the stars weren't very visible here unfortuantly. As the breeze passed by she smelled smoke and walked toward it, then she saw there was a bonfire going on. Recognizing the two people she smiled,"Hey there!Mind if I join you guys?", she asked.

Lyra saw Nefertari come over and waved with her free hand. "Hey Tari!" Lyra exclaimed, her head motioning to the bag filled with fire food. "Grab a skewer and hot dog and eat if you are hungry!" she said.

"You're always welcome to join us Tari," Tobias happily replied. He returned his focus to his hot dog, slowly spinning it so it would cook evenly. "I didn't do anything fun today," Tobias answered Lyra. "We can save smores if you want."

[Nefertari Adel]

Her eyes widened at the food,but she accepted it anyways. She was supposed to eat now,she placed the hot dog over the fire and tried to act normal,"Thanks! And awesome bonfire", she said, grinning.

"Thank you!" Lyra exclaimed. She wasn't use to creating big bonfires on the beach, she was used to her firepit at her house. She looked over at Tobias, "I didn't do anything either," Lyra said, "well grocery store but yes, lets save the smores for later," Lyra said as she stared into the fire. She pulled the hot dog away from the flames and blew on it, laughing because she felt silly. She took a bite and put it back over the flames, "still cold."

Tobias flashed a quick smile at Tari. The heat from the fire was making Tobias's skin tingle. He squinted as a breeze sent smoke in his direction. "Nothing like a good bonfire, right?" he asked, coughing. He covered his mouth with one hand and continued to hold his hot dog near the flame with the other.

Tari moved the breeze to blow the smoke down wind and away from Tobias, smiling back quickly. She rotating the hot dog around wondering when she should take it out.

Lyra yawned, she was getting tired. At least she wouldn't go home with an empty stomach. She figured the hot dog was ready and took it away and let it cool down. "Tomorrow will be smores day," she said to Tari, "I'll probably invite people. This was spontaneous."

Tobias began to countdown from 10. After the ten seconds were done, he removed the hot dog from the flame and took a bite. The center was still cold, but he ate it happily anyway. He tried to say 'It's delicious' but it came out as "Eesh durishush."

"Oh cool. Smores are nice", she replied with a smile, then laughed as Tobias tried to speak with food in his mouth.
