Bonfire

Tobias finished his hot dog. "That was yummy," he said dreamily. "Guess its time to go back and get some sleep."

Lyra nodded, " I agree," she said, throwing the bamboo skewer into the fire pit. She said goodnight to Tobias and Tari before walking back to the school to sleep.

She nodded and said goodnight to them, she looked at her uncooked hotdog and wondered what to do. She left it and the bun on top of a garbage can, maybe someone less fortuante or just really hungry would eat it. She stretched her arms over her head and headed for bed.

With the bag of smores ingredients in her hand, Lyra walked over to the beach to the same can as she went to last night to start up the bonfire. She threw in some sticks and dry leaves and threw in a match to help the flame ignite. The fire was nice but Lyra still needed a wear a light jacket on the beach. She held the bag and took out her phone and texted Tobias to tell him the bonfire was ready.

Tobias arrived at the beach and saw the bonfire already burning brightly. He spotted Lyra and waved while calling out to her, "Hey Lyra! Got the food ready?"

Aaron was behind Tobias, following him with the rest of the group. He waved and greeted Lyra. Aaron's stomach slightly growled. Although smores wasn't a healthy food... he couldn't remember the last time he had the tasty campfire treat.

Artemis followed behind the crowd seeing Lyra there. She rubbed her arm a bit as she felt the cold air. She used her hair tie to tie up her hair. She looked around the all of the people there. She made her way away from them as she took a seat in the back by the fire letting everyone get to know one another.

Brent was happy to see ingredients for smores in yet another new girl's hand. Luckily, Tobias had already announced her name. Brent took a spot near the fire, for he hadn't thought to grab a jacket and he was accustomed to Georgia's sticky heat.

"Hi TK! Hi Aaron!" Lyra greeted the two boys. "And yes, I have the goods!" Lyra exclaimed, holding up the bag of ingredients. She saw Artemis hide away from them, wondering what made her go away from the group. Maybe she had a fear of marshmallows. "I'm still not used to this weather," Lyra commented.

Tobias was happy to see food. He quickly grabbed a marshmallow and skewer and began roasting. He looked around and noticed that Artemis had moved away. "Artemis! Come over here," he told the girl.

Artemis looked up. Her knees close to her chest. "Eh"S he whispered as she saw Tobias call after her. She wasnt used to social events. Last time she was close to a fire like this...things went a bit out of hand and she got snipity with the people. It was hard. they were all nice to her yet she was a total bitch to them. She shook her head as she staied there. She didnt want to be a funsponge.

Tari also sat near the fire, she had left her jacket back at the dorm thinkin she'd be right back,"Hey Lyra!", she greeted the girl.

Aaron got a marshmellow and put it on the stick, holding it over the fire. Maybe he would just eat marshmallows today. He looked over at Brent and waved to him and looked over to Tari who sat back down. He wondered why Artemis was away from them. It seemed weird.

Tobias gave Artemis a quizzical look. During his moment of distraction, Tobias's marshmallow caught on fire. He turned back in time to see the marshmallow turn black. "Gah! Oh no!" he cried out in surprise.

"Hi, Nefe!" Lyra greeted Tari with a wave. She looked up at the sky. Seeing stars were weird for her. She rubbed her eye with one hand and shook her head, getting a slight headache from the fire. "How is everyone?" Lyra asked.
