Bonfire

[Nefertari Adel]

Nefertari laughed as Tobias burn his marshmallow, shaking her head. She turned to Brent,"So how are you liking Oceanside?", she asked.

"It's a little too cold for me." Brent replied to Nefertari with a half-smile. "I'm from the South, though. I'm not used to West coast weather yet."

Brent took a stick and a marshmallow. He held his stick an inch or so away from the flame, being careful to keep it from burning. He noticed Aaron waving at him, and said, "Hey, I don't think we got a chance to talk at the courtyard. How are you?"

"Oh, I'm doing fine, thank you," Aaron replied to Brent and pulled his marshmallow away. He blew the fire out. Something about burnt marshmallows was good. He took a bite of it, the marshmellow pulling apart and leaving a goop. "How about you?"

Nefertari coughed slightly as the smoke from everyone's food came her way, she changed the direction of the breeze then rubbed her eyes. She wondered why Artemis wasn't joining them and tried waving her over, she seemed like she'd be an extrovert. I guess not, Tari thought to herself.
She replied to Brent,"I came from Egypt so I know what you mean, but I've adjusted to the weather now", she replied with a half-smile.

Tobias stared at his burned marshmallow. He frowned. "Great," he muttered.

Artemis saw Tari wave her over. She looked around knowing she would regret this. Artemis stood up and walked over to her. She sat down waving to Aaron, Brent Tobias and finally layra. She watched them all making marmellow thingies. "What in the world are you gys doing?'S he asked confused wht they were setting marshmellows on fire.

"Uhh, making smores," Lyra replied, removing her mashmallow from the fire. She opened the graham crackers and the Hershey's chocolate and made the delicious campfire treat. "It's a smore? You know?"

He pulled his marshmallow away from the fire, and quickly stuck it and a piece of chocolate between two graham crackers. He took a bite of the small treat, internally celebrating his perfectly roasted marshmallow. "I'm great; I have smores." He said with a small laugh, but then added, "I'm a little anxious for classes to start, though. They should be interesting."

Artemis looked at Lyra dumbfounded. "Never had one" She raised her brow watching as what they all did. It was weird. It smelled great but..look odd. She layed back in the sand as she looked up to the stars.

Tobias pulled the marshmallow off the stick. He inspected it and shook his head in sadness. A wasted marshmallow. He tossed it into the fire before waving to Artemis.

"What?" Lyra blinked, she sounded shocked. "Have you even heard of a smore?" she found it incredibly weird that Artemis never had a smore before. "Really?" Lyra had to confirm, maybe Artemis was joking. "Where are you from?" Maybe she was from some weird place who banned delicious treats.

Artemis smiled waving to Tobias as he chuckled his marshmellow in the fire. There was a source to her power. Which ment she would be more powerful She couldnt help it. Even if they were in the open. A ball of fire appeared in her palm. "Im from England..we dont have that stuff over there" She said wondering why no one noticed her accent. It was slightl a good thing. "Its alright...smells good" She said,

"Well, we still have about 3 weeks", she replied,"In the mean time, try exploring the school and city. But stay away from the forbidden room", she warned, not wanting him to get expelled.

Tobias smiled at Artemis before getting a new marshmallow. He watched this one like a mother hawk watching her hatchlings. He slowly spun it around while it cooked.

Aaron saw Artemis make a fire ball. "Artemis." Aaron looked at the fire, then back at her. "People are here," he said. He wondered why she could never control herself. She never seemed to care... Aaron finished his smore. He didn't know if he wanted to eat another one or not.
