Toto and Vergil had, like they often did now, found one another via text and went out for a walk. They ventured into the city instead of staying within the confines of the school grounds and came across a fairly new establishment along the developing roads and busy streets: The Tea Shop. Peeking in revealed it to be of oriental nature and very inviting so they curiously made their way inside to explore.
The owner, a very nice man of good stature with an yet to be shaven visage, waved them in warmly and invited them to sit and have some tea on the house. He was very jovial and explained to them both with a grand, sweeping gesture of his tattooed arm that today was his opening day. They congratulated him, sharing in his excitement, and Toto (being a little bolder than usual) proposed a toast to the man with her small tea cup in hand.
After much talk, the two friends discovered he was in search of workers which prompted them to look at one another, Vergil interjecting they were both seeking jobs after school or whenever to make some money and fill their time- something they had spoken of in passing once during a walk on the grounds. The kind owner led them into an impromptu group interview, found them satisfying, and hired them on the spot.

They were hired! Oh, this was all exciting, Toshie thought to herself as the owner smiled and told them to wait there, that he had something for them. She turned to Vergil, glad that they had gone in to see what the owner had brought out. "Here are some uniforms for you two, they're pretty unisex so you two should look fine," he said handing them the clothes with a kind smile, "I hope they fit." Toshie put up the shirt and examined it, "I can mend if it doesn't fit right." She looked to Vergil and the owner smiling.

Vergil picked up his own shirt and felt the neck tie just for the sake of feeling the silky texture between his fingertips. He nodded approvingly upon hearing Toshie's sewing abilities and gently folded everything back up to take it up in his arms, "Thahnk yu sihr." Beaming to the owner, he thanked him again for the tea and they promised to be in the next day after the first day of classes to work and discuss a schedule after that.
With a wave and a few more kind words, the two left, excitedly talking to one another about their luck while holding their new uniforms.

Toto and Vergil had met up by the entrance of the school after they went to their separate dorms to shower and dress in their uniforms. They began their trek to The Tea Shop where they were being expected and arrived to find customers already seated and speaking amiably as they checked and flipped through menus* already placed on the tables. The owner waved them in and gave them a quick verbal run through of what they were to do as he handed them writing pads and a pen to take down orders. Vergil smiled to Toto and patted her shoulder to ease his own nervousness as well as any she had, going to the first table he could with a bright smile to take down their order in the middle of small talk. (Boba is optional and can be added when asked, and if there's something not on the menus that can still fit with the entire motif- go right ahead. The entire menu isn't the page linked either; there are links on the left side of the page you can cycle through for hot drinks, shaved ice, more meal options, etc.)

Toshie tightened up her tie a bit more and smiled to Vergil. They had just gotten a few orders down already, while Mr. Isao brewed and made the drinks in the back or at the counter. This was actually easier than she thought, she was nervous that she'd have fallen over and tripped already. Or spilled a drink or noodlebowl on someone.
"How ahr you today?" she asked Vergil since this was the first time she saw him all day.

"I ahm vhell, thahnk yu fohr ahskeeng," Vergil flashed her a quick smile and carried out the tray to table four to set down their boba drinks as well as wrapped, thick straws. He returned and set the tray at the counter for Mr. Isao, "Hau abaut yu?" His own nervousness had dissipated sometime after the second delivery of a meal. He and Toshie worked well moving around one another, to and back from tables, between them, and so on, so the entire process of catering to the customers wasn't as difficult once they had fallen into a sort of groove.

This isn't so bad after... thank god the uniforms are normal, I thought they were gonna be those awkward maid cafe uniforms... she thought to herself. CRASH! CLATTER! "WAI WAI WAI!" Toshie yelped as she tripped on a loose floorboard. The dishes came crashing down around her as she hit the ground. She bit her lip as the rest of the customers just looked at her strangely.
Toshie sighed as she began to clean and pick up all the glasses and the tray.

Vergil left his tray at the counter and kneeled to help Toshie clean up the glass, thanking Mr. Isao when he brought over a trashcan to put the pieces into. He carefully brushed his hands over the trashcan to un-cling any stray shards that may be sticking to his skin then helped Toshie up by the arms with a gentle tug upward, "Ahre yu ahlright, Fräulein Mahkeenahmi?" Looking her up and down, he searched for any glass pieces that might be sticking to her clothes.

She wiped up the remaining mess and smiled to Vergil embarrassed, "Yes, Behrjiru, I am quite alright." Toshie got up, putting the rangs into the sink and making sure she still looked somewhat presentable. Otherwise, she kept on with her job like nothing happened.

Vergil smiled to himself and continued on with his half of the shop, wiping down a recently left table for the next customer as he adjusted the menus. Mr. Isao set down two cold glasses of water on the counter for Toshie and himself, "You two are doing very well, thank you." He thanked him for the drink and took a short break gratefully until table two's order was ready.

The shop had slowed and gave Toto and Vergil a chance to take a seat at the counter and eat something before it picked up again if it picked up again. Mr. Isao grinned from ear to ear and made them takoyaki, tea flavored curry chicken, tea flavored fish fillet, and a few other things to pick and eat from along with tall glasses of boba-less, flavored tea. They thanked him very hungrily and began to spoon and fork things onto empty plates to eat their fill while Isao-san went and catered to the two tables that had people. Vergil had never had this kind of cuisine before but he wasn't close minded and was glad to have given it a try for it was absolutely delectable. The chicken was soft and almost melted in your mouth and the takoyaki, though the texture was odd, was just as good. Toto smiled contently to her friend and sipped from her Lychee tea.

Six thirty was nearing and Mr. Isao decided his new workers had done fantastically and deserved to be let off early, the shop was slowing down greatly anyhow. They each thanked him brightly and left the pads they had been using at a corner of the counter to go to the restroom, wash up a little, and grab their bags from the backroom where they left them for safety's sake. Toto bowed to their employer and Vergil waved before they left out the entrance of the store to walk back to the school tiredly. He laughed when his friend made a cute face and leaned against him whilst talking about her poor sore legs; like the gentlemen he was however, he took her bag and hoisted her onto his back to give her a piggyback ride all the way.

Toshie strode into the facility hastily, waving hi to her boss and then changing into her uniform. She was still out of sorts from last night and pulled her hair into a ponytail. I wonder how much I have to pay for the table and chair... maybe they won't notice the floor either, she thought, wincing at the recollection of last night's fight.
She went about taking orders, serving, and cleaning up the tables as usual. Vergil said he didn't feel too well and wouldn't be able to make it. Toshie was doing fine on her own though, no spills thus far.

Max stumbled into the shop, dreading the past two days of school. He wasn't too fond of the concept of school. He sighed to himself, "Man, this school stuff is too much work."
Not noticing anyone in the shop, he found the nearest table and slumped his head into his arms. Truth be told, he just wanted to rest for a bit. He felt the tea shop was quiet but not too quiet.

Toshie approached the boy who had just entered with a menu, "Herro, welcome to Tea Shop." She placed the menu down by him and smiled, "Please tell me when you ahr ready to order."
She wondered if this boy went to her school. They weren't usually allowed to be out unless they have a job or something, maybe he had permission. The energy felt familiar though, but she let it go and went to clean up a recently left table.
