Toshie was happy to be working again. It had been so long since she had been away from the school and doing something productive. Ever since the Richard incident though, she hadn't seen much of anyone. When she came to in the infirmary it was as if everyone had vanished. Richard, thank god, has never resurfaced from that day. But the others... Derek, Olivia... and Rhys. It was as if they had vanished into thin air!
No matter, the dark haired girl had to keep her mind focused on tending to the customers. She had been working at the Tea Shop long enough to not trip up. In a sense, it had given her the grace she had never had before. She smiled inwardly as she took a table's order and returned it to Isao.

Today was far less eventful than Rhys had anticipated last night. He'd tried meeting with the Headmasters regarding his return to the school, but the whole of the administrative staff at Oceanside seemed to be either away or too busy. Thankfully, he managed to get back into his rooming by TK'ing the door lock open, but reinstating official residence would be nice.
Bored and not having done much except meander about the grounds hoping to run into people, Rhys wandered into town to satisying a craving for a Taro boba smoothie. As he walked up, he remembered his last visit; eel bowl and taro boba. He couldn't wait to quench his thirst and probably get something to eat, too. He took the first open seat he saw and waited for a menu to be handed to him.

The energy swirling around her was lovely. It was happily lingering about with the positive energy that tea brings people. At least, that's how she thinks. Toshie truly does believe that hot beverages brings up another's mood significantly. Or one of their smoothies. Regardless, what they serve was happiness in a tangible form.
That's when it hit her, the familiar energy of someone she hadn't seen for months on end. She turned and her smile disappeared gradually as he came into her view. RHYS!? What in the world?! He goes missing for weeks, months, on end and there he is! Just sitting there waiting to be tended to. Who did he think he was?! Just wandering into someone's life and then leaving the way he did. He didn't even say good bye to her... Toshie thought she was of some importance to the arrogant boy's life.
She made her way over, calmly calculating how to go about it. Toshie keep your cool. And your mental block. Don't let him into your mind! Her aura was cold and stagnant. "Good day sir," Toshie handed him a menu," Is there anything you'd like today?"

The Tea Shop was rich with positive atmosphere and good vibes. Sitting in one of the booths, left elbow on the table, his hand supporting his cheek, he looked around the place. It felt comfy and familiar. Welcoming. A nice change from the drab, chilly, empty school he'd spent all day walking around earlier. He felt like he was forgetting something, though. Liek a tip-of-the-tongue itch in the back of his memories. This was more than just a familiar place. Didn't he know people who worked here, too?
He looked down at the table, wrinkling his brow, tapping his fingers while digging through his thoughts. He didn't have to think for too long, though. "Good day sir," a girl said to him, coming up with a menu. Say, that voice sounds familiar...
Rhys smiled, looking up from the table to meet the waitresses eyes. He smile somewhat disappeared, instead slightly agap as the gears in his head turned in their hazy recollection.
"To... shie? Uhm, hi."

"To...shie? Uhm, hi."
THAT'S ALL HE COULD SAY? Not seeing the chick that he made out with various times and was sorta kinda dating was all he could say to her after such a long time of not seeing her? Anger bubbled from the pits of her stomach as she grit her teeth and bared it. It's not like he could read her thoughts at the moment anyway. "Yup. How've you been... Rhys?" Toshie's voice was cold and bitter. "It's... been a while, wouldn't you say?"
The small girl couldn't even fake a grin. She was not happy whatsoever with this boy.

Based on Toshie's reaction, Rhys was immediately pretty damn sure this was the worst situation he could've found himself in with his amnesia. I'm missing something REALLY important. Wonderful. He shifted a bit in his seat, mind racing to find his lost memories. The important ones. The ones that meant something.
Something. But what? Internally panicked and frustrated, Rhys tried to continue their interaction on as neutral ground, as possible. A laughable thought, to be sure.
"I've... been... Uh, good, I suppose," he managed to get out, licking his lips slightly nervously. "I went away for... stuff." He half-mumbled the last bit, honestly unsure about what he went away for anyway. Too many unknowns happening right now. Rhys scratched his cheek with his left hand, no longer resting his chin on it, but rather, sitting pretty straight.
"It has been a while, though, yeah. Since, uh..." he trailed off while he tried recollecting and half hoping she'd remind him. Not that that'd be preferred with her attitude the way it was right now.

The kid didn't even remember the last time he saw her was! Toshie was infuriated with him. Her aura was a swirling hurricane of emotions at the moment. She was overjoyed that he was were, but it was if the boy cleansed of any memories of them together, or whatever he had been doing while he was away.
Probably other girls. She shook her head at this thought. There was no way he would. Would he? He was the player type... Toshie bit her lower lip in aggravation. Isao, her boss, noticed that the atmosphere of the once calm and peaceful tea shop was about to make a turn for the worse with his faithful employee.
Toshie made eye contact with her employer and caught his glare. I need to take this elsewhere. She grabbed the boy's hand and made a smile to Isao, "Hey! I have to go, sorry!" Give the customer's a false sense of security to tide them over so they wouldn't notice the sudden change of mood.
"We're going to the park. C'mon." she grumbled as she led Rhys away.
