The Top of the Tower

"I'm Lyra Calnote," Lyra waved to Max. It was nice to see a new student who actually looked new. Unless he was new and was a senior. She was seeing a lot of that lately. Max seemed like a nice kid. Quiet, reserved... well, not quiet. He was talking to himself. Crazy, reserved...

[Max Raine]

Max accepted the hand shake. It was firm, strong grip. "Yeah, bottom of the food chain. Got to build my way up," An unfortunate truth he just realized.

He acknowledged Lyra's greeting and returned the wave. "Hi Lyra," he said it smiling.

To avoid answering any questions about himself, he pressed on. "Anything a newbie like me should know?"

"Don't fall off the tower," Tobias joked around. He smiled at Max. The boy seemed nice.

"That it's bed time for me," Lyra yawned. She was sleepy. She hugged Tobias and waved to Max again, "we'll talk later you two," Lyra gave a peace sign and descended down the stairs or elevator. I'm not too sure what this place has.

[Max Raine]

Useful information. "I'll try to remember that," he chuckled. This Tobias guy's a joker. Not harmful in anyway.

"Night, Lyra!" he said. She seems nice. Anyone who throws up a peace sign is nice. She was pretty cute, too.

At least, no questions were asked...yet at least. Let's get a bit nosy. "She your girl, man?" he directed the question toward Tobias after Lyra left.

"Nope, just a good friend of mine," Tobias replied. He wondered about the new boy's power. "What can you do?"

[Max Raine]

Busted. "I mess with people's minds," he said simply enough. "I make people think they're under drugs," he modestly stated. Max thought he wouldn't freak out. "Want a hit?"

"Uhm, no thanks. I don't do that kind of stuff," Tobias responded slowly. What an interesting power... Tobias thought to himself.

[Max Raine]

"Nah,...it's...cool" Max blurted. He just realized he shouldn't be passing out his power like, even if it was just to make friends. His nervousness came over him, and his body reacted how it would most naturally.

"I got to go for the night. Catch ya later." Max descended the tower quickly. He reminded himself again not to offer his powers.

[Nefertari Adel]

Nefertari came out to the tower after an eventful day and walked around. She saw some graffitish stuff below the ledge she usually sat on, she brushed away the dirt and began to read it. She moved her face a bit closer, the ornate handwriting a bit hard to read:

Underneath the starry skies,
not often seen by human eyes,
is a place to go between.
Tunnel through the underground,
yet be careful, for the Staff's eyes are keen.

What was this, the Da Vinci code? She laughed to herself and started to play with the wind.

TK made the journey to the top of the tower. It had been quite an eventful night. He still wore his formalish clothes from the beach party. Tobias could already tell he'd find sand everywhere tomorrow morning.

As he reached the tower's peak, he came upon Tari. "Hello there," he gently greeted her, hoping she wouldn't be scared by his sudden arrival.

Tari turned around and saw Tobias,"Oh, hey. What's up?", she asked, leaning back against the wall. She didn't bump into people here that often.

"I came up here to enjoy the view," Tobias replied to Tari. He sat down next to her. "Were you at the party? I don't remember seeing you there."

[Nefertari Adel]

She shook her head,"I was busy today so I couldn't crash it, would have been entertaining to though", she said, laughing lightly,"How was it?", she asked.

"The best part was when Penny slapped a kid and called him a bitch," Tobias said, thoughtfully reminiscing on the moment.
