Artemis never thought of that. She carefully stood up and sat on Penny's bed. She nodded...it was strange, she had never seen Penny like this...she WAS Human. Seeing Penny react like that...showing her emotions..."I know Pen I know...Being a prosie" Shivers went down her spine. She was nothing with out her gifts. "Were not touching that orb...they cant make us" She said taking her hand. "Were stronger now...for how long Im not sure...but we have to use this for our advantage..they cant make us do anything Pen" She said. "Were not going to be prosies"

Penny sighed, "I know." She looked around, and then back at Artemis. "I miss him. We had so much going for us, the three of us together. I guess we're just a duo now. A super hot, super powerful, super evil duo."

"I know I miss him to" She said looking to Penny. "You guys are all I see when I shut my eyes. "Artemis sighed a bit with a small smile when Penny spoke. "Yeah a damn Hot powerful Duo" She joked as a flame light in her hand. "Heh..."

"Same here, with you and him," Penny said. "Do you think those images will ever go away?" Penny asked. "I don't think I could bear to see... it.... every time I blink."

She shivered a bit thinking of that. "Im not sure...Its like there is a split second were we all look happy...its like the only thing I have to remember him but knowing what comes next" She winced gripping her gown seeing the nightmare flash again in her eyes. "In time I hope it goes away" She said.

"Let's just try not to think about it right now," Penny said. "We need to be strong. No tears outside the privacy of our own rooms," Penny said authoritatively, hoping that saying it that way would make it happen for her.

Artemis looked at penny like she was crazy. "Yeah right...No crying outside of our rooms" She said trying to make it true. "Lets...think of something else like leaving the hospital" She bit her lip only hoping things would get better for them.

"Yes," Penny said. "For sure. But maybe not yet. I think I need a nap." Penny lay back down and brought the covers over her shoulders. "See you soon," she said before drifting off to sleep.

Penelope woke up from a long sleep, the bright lights of the infirmary blinding her for a moment. It was still difficult for her to move, so she just lay there, in the hospital bed. There were a few books on the table next to her bed, so she picked one up and began to read. It wasn't particularly interesting, but Artemis was asleep, and there was nothing better to do.

Artemis stirred in her sleep. Finally waking in a soaked bed of swet she shivered freezing. Sitting up she saw Penny with a Magazine on her chest asleep. "How long will you be in here Penny?" She asked struggling to sit up. Everything was still a bit blurry but she just needed to leave. Looking around she saw no nurse. That was good for her to escape. Yelping a bit things were fuzzy and moving when she wasnt. SHe struggled to stand up out of bed. Looking around she changed her clothes tieing up her hair. Remembering her ring was missing she would come with Penny to the head Mistress to find it.
After a bit of standing up...Nick and Penny flashed over and over. "Nope" Slowly she sat back down in her bed.

Such a simple matter. Such a simple cause. Such a stupid consequence.
If it weren't for the fact that she hated being at a disadvantage, she wouldn't have come in the middle of the first period. But what choice did she have? Even if it was a measly paper cut that had grown to two inches long and a millimeter wide, it was disadvantageous to lose blood. Everyone thought that those who lost a little bit of blood was weaker than before. Big deal. She still wanted it fixed up. Whatever Chess wanted, she got. She personally saw to that.
Now she was at the door to the Infirmary. She had never been in there before, but no doubt it'd be like other hospitals and clinics, neat, orderly, white. The paper cut was holding her up from stuffing her right hand into her jacket pouch-pocket (because I don't know the proper word. O.o;;). It annoyed her, but what was there to do. The rest of her was as usual, sneakers, a pair of short white shorts to go with the indigo hoodie that she wore. Well, time to go get herself fixed up.
With a step forwards, she pushed open the door with her right hand--not leaving a stain on the more or less flawless door. Darting into the room, she let the door fall shut with a BAM! something to alert the nurses that she had arrived. With a more or less apathetic face, Chess leaned against the wall, next to the door as she waited for the nurse to come. Who else was here? There were obviously people who had battles before and might have needed some recuperation time.

Penelope heard a sudden noise, and jolted up in her bed, looking around, a bit confused. Her eyes darted to the door and she saw a girl who she didn't recognize. She was slightly curious as to who she was, but the pain that was flowing through Penny's body slightly occupied her mind, so she just ignored the girl for the most part. She scooted towards the pillows and leaned against them, and then went about searching for the book she had been reading before she fell asleep.

Just at the corner of her peripheral vision, Chess caught movement and a corresponding sound. There were definitely people here, and whoever they were, they were up and about, albeit not curious enough--or strong enough to come quell their curiosity. From what she could see, the girl was blond, but her wrists or ankles weren't wrapped in strenuous amounts of bandages, so she obviously wasn't one of her victims. Oh well. The nurse was taking forever, what could it help to approach?
She was looking for something, Chess could see that, but what exactly, she wasn't sure. Maybe she should help. Maybe she should stand by and watch. That would certainly prove to be amusing. The girl obviously couldn't find what she was looking for, and watching people flounder was undoubtedly one of the most amusing things that she had ever seen. However, after a moment or two, she realized that this girl did not seem too concerned for the mysterious object. Chess's face fell slightly to a pout as she tossed back a strand of hair to where the majority of it was tied back in a scruffy ponytail.
Drifting forwards in mild curiosity to the girl's case and to the nurse's case, she looked around. No one looked like they were about to get up or come around, and though she'd have loved to worsen the pain, she was actually curious as to why this girl was here. Somehow she just didn't seem like the type of person that would be in here because they were unlucky. "You're looking for something," She stated a fact. It was obvious that she was, for she wouldn't be prying through the pillows like that.

"Hm?" Penny said, looking up when the girl who had just walked in spoke to her. After a moment she was able to register what she had said, and Penelope replied, "Yes, I am." She looked closer at the girl and wondered why she was at the infirmary. "A book. It's not important, though. It was neither mine nor very interesting." Penelope gave up on her search and just sat up, crossing her legs underneath the blanket. "I don't know you," she observed out loud. The girl was tall, and fairly pretty, in a 'meh' kind of way, and she looked a bit lost, like she didn't really know what was going on in the infirmary. Though, for she'd been asleep for most of the time, Penny didn't know much about what was going on either.

It was a moment before the girl replied. It was as if she did not register her stating that fact--or she had been surprised by the way she had phrased it. As she had suspected, the girl was looking for something, a book that wasn't hers or her interest's. Very... enlightening. After a moment in which Chess observed her, she seemed to drop the attempt and pull her legs in, forming a vague triangular shape where the covers had no solid surface to lie flat on. "Why bother then?" She asked flatly.
"I don't know you,"
That statement was so blunt, so obvious that Chess had to raise an eyebrow. If she knew her and Chess didn't know her, that would be a major disgrace. The worst scenario ever, unless, of course, she was a stalker. Stalkers were fun to play with. With that, her lips twitched in a slightly sadistic smile. "If you knew me and I didn't know you, you would have been dead." She informed the girl, tilting her head. "I happen to be Chess Williams. And entirely capable of killing you." That wasn't a challenge, it was a fact. She could kill anyone she wanted to and wouldn't see a problem with it. If the girl did, well, tough luck. Now where was that nurse? Late, obviously.
