"Let him in, please. He's my boyfriend." He whispered, sparking again, still dimly. Vergil was released. "Hey Wings."

Vergil gave a look to security, easing his way into the room silently once he was sure he was able to go in completely. He came to Mykel's side and immediately took a hand into both of his like earlier unable to find the words to say while Flug cooed in his core as a card residing in his deck once again.

"Wings, look." He almost smiled, sparking dimly once again. "I'll be okay, powerwise and everything else."

Vergil nodded slightly and gave Mykel a watery smile, the once dried tear tracks falling pray to fresh tears as he leaned down to kiss the back of Mykel's hand. Stupid boy. They just got together and there he goes.. getting himself almost killed.

Vergil had fallen asleep sometime after Mykel had, hunched over on the bed in a chair still wet from the rain. He didn't stir when a sympathetic healer/nurse walked in and covered him with a towel before doing so in a blanket, the young woman leaving to continue on her rounds. She just didn't have the heart to wake him and shoo him from the side of someone he cared enough more than a little, to stay up so late for them, as if he could just put his life on hold for the sandy blonde and nothing else mattered. Vergil mumbled and nuzzled into the side of the bed, hand curling around Mykel's before he was deeply settled in for the night.

Mykel woke quietly, a smaller hand wrapped around his own. "Wings." He smiled, sparking the younger lightly, happily, to wake him.

Vergil of course stirred when he felt that familiar, playful spark Mykel would give him on occasions but he was too far into his dreams to realize it wasn't something he was imagining; he shifted a little and made himself more comfortable with the one arm tucked under his head while the other stayed outstretched, that hand still clutching to Mykel's. A murmur here and a sigh after, he was still again.

"Wings. Wake up!" He smiled brighter, squeezing the other's hand. "Vergil, I'm okay."

Vergil felt the squeeze but it was the exclamation that made him start with one of his own, letting go of Mykel's hand to slip from the chair and fall to the floor with a thud. Staring up at the ceiling was almost always a pleasant way to pass the time but this wasn't one of those times for Vergil as he blinked and sat up slowly trying to orient himself. Where was he again..?

(Continued from here.) Penelope teleported into the infirmary, with Vergil at her hand. His weight against her caused her to fall sideways, but she caught herself on the side of a bed. She led Vergil towards it, and managed to get him to sit on it. "I'll be right back," she told him. Penny walked away from him, and called out for the nurse. She found her in her office and told her what had happened. "I found him collapsed on the floor, and now he's coughing up blood," she told her. The nurse rushed towards the bed that Vergil was resting on and closed the curtains around him. Penny sat on a chair lined against the opposite wall and waited.

The staff wasn't surprised to find someone appear in the infirmary but they were, however, shocked to find one of Oceanside's very obvious villain-types helping a small boy that seemed to be in a fragile state. A nurse was called for and she was quick to act once the explanation left the cold blond's lips. Coughing up blood? Strange. Vergil had barely mustered the rest of the strength he had to allow himself to be teleported by Penny in a standing position. Sitting on the bed certainly helped him regain his balance though his stomach felt far more at war than it did before. He bent over and coughed into both hands again and now realized it was blood he was tasting, that's what coated his hands so warmly, but he wasn't reacting as he should. He wasn't screaming or sputtering in fear or running around trying to find help - he was…too tired for that. He thought Penny had brought him to his dorm room but when he looked around he realized everything was too white and it smelled so, so clean? Sterile. Yes, that was the word. It was terribly sterile and that could only mean she had brought him to the school's infirmary.
The nurse that had come over noticed his disorientation right off the bat and began to take note of each symptom. Coughing up blood already dashed a lot of possibilities off the list and Vergil had just barely looked up at her with curiosity when he laid him back, "Stay still, alright? I'm just going to scan you." He didn't nod but he didn't move she she proceeded with the scan, one of her abilities which pushed her towards a medically inclined career, and she was frowning more and more with every passing second. He'd be getting a lot worse before he could get better. His pneumonia, she discovered, had advanced rapidly and she wondered why the hell a boy who had probably experienced a high fever and chills on his own - and surely chest pains during coughs - or anything that wasn't normal would stay quiet about it. Stupid of him. "You'll be fine sweetheart but I'm going to have to have to put you to sleep. You're going to be on bed rest for quite a while." Vergil was quick to protest bed rest. All he needed was rest, fluids, and his dorm room and he'd be fine. He already bought some oral antibiotics that he had started to take and it was nothing he could not take care of damn it, "Nein! I ahm okay, re-" He curled up on his side to cough and he could almost hear the nurse wince when more of the sticky, crimson substance made its way out and onto his hands again then dripped onto the white sheets. She took advantage of his sudden stillness and gave him a tranquilizer to ease him to sleep, "It'll only be until you're better sweetie. Just get some sleep." He writhed on the bed and attempted to fight off whatever had been administered but as every second passed, he found himself growing tired and the idea of a nap returned. A nap would be nice.
"Oh. You're still here?" After Vergil had been put to sleep, the nurse had begun to set up an IV to be able to feed him different things to help with fever since he still had a minor one and other things to help with different symptoms. She had however come out to find that the blond that brought him in was still sitting outside of the curtained area and waiting it seemed, "We won't be releasing him anytime soon if you're waiting for him to return with you."

Penelope could see the judgement in the infirmary staff's eyes as she helped Vergil. She had friends, not just enemies, and she was very quick to help her friends- who else would help her along the way to greatness? She ignored their shocked looks and just urged them to help the young boy.
Penelope listened to what was going on behind the curtain from where she sat outside- the nurse was going over Vergil's symptoms with him, and 'scanned' him- which Penelope assumed was one of the nurse's powers. Vergil's coughing continued, getting worse with every one. Penny heard the mention of pneumonia, which was odd considering they were in California. Perhaps he had gone home to Germany for the holidays? Penelope relaxed a little when the nurse told him that he'd be fine after a few days of bed rest. She chuckled as Vergil protested, just as he had in the art room with Penny.
Yes, I'm still here Penelope thought bitterly when the Nurse came out from behind the curtains surrounding Vergil's bed. "I just wanted to make sure he'd be okay," Penelope said to the nurse. "He has pneumonia," the nurse told her, unaware that Penelope already knew that. "It's progressed quite far, though. I don't know why he didn't come here or have someone bring him here earlier. Are you sure this was the first time you saw him?" she asked. Did the nurse think that Penny had just sat back and laughed as the boy slowly deteriorated in the cold? Stupid woman, Penelope thought bitterly. "Yes," she said," I found him, as I told you earlier, collapsed on the floor of the art room. This is the first time I've seen him in weeks, I was not aware that he was sick." The nurse pursed her lips at Penelope's bitter tone and expression- still unsure why this villainous girl brought this poor boy into the infirmary. "Well, he'll be okay in a few days," she told the girl anyhow. "The other nurse should be coming in soon, and he'll be able to speed up the boy's recovery quite quickly-" Penelope interrupted the nurse,"Why isn't he here now?" The nurse sighed, "Because," she said," he is on holiday, visiting his family." What if I had gotten sick, Penelope thought, I would not want this woman to take care of me- she's clearly not the brightest of the bunch. However, it was Vergil who had gotten ill, and this woman seemed to be able to do her job effectively, however inefficient it was. "Fine," she said to the woman, standing up and gathering her coat. "I'll just be going then. Thanks for what you were able to do." For what little you were able to do, that is. Penelope walked out the door, hoping that the nurse that could speed up Vergil's recovery would be in soon.
