Inside the Infirmary

Artemis began to breath normally as the pills began to work. She nodded still looking around not sure what was going on.

When TObias asked if he should leave she was about to say no...was he vanishing like the dream..or would he really come back.

Artemis sighed as he left. "Thank you" She gently whispered before laying her head on the pillow.

Looking at the nurse she sat on her bed reassuring her she was safe and awake.

Olivia opened her eyes. She stood up, and started to look around. It was a white plane, foggy. She figured she could only see five or ten feet in front of her. "Hello? Anyone there?" Where am I? And how did I get hear? Olivia was startled when she heard her thoughts echo throughout the place she was in. "What the hell?"

Out of the fog, a person came forward. Stepping with high heels, and red dress, it was... her. Olivia was staring at herself, a complete copy, although she had a look in her eyes that rubbed Olivia the wrong way. "Who are you?"

Her other said, "Why darlin', I'm you. Your subconscious. I'm the part that you tried to push away those few days ago."

Olivia swallowed. "My... subconscious? You're the reason everyone was changing, why my brother changed?"

Her subconscious chuckled. "My fault? Why are you blaming me like I'm not you? It's your fault girl. You can't even control your own mind, your own powers. Pathetic."

Olivia flared. "Yes I can!" Olivia ran toward her subconscious, fist raised, and aimed for her face. But her subconscious sidestepped her, and smacked her to the ground.

"And down little miss weakling goes. Hah! You really are defenseless aren't you." Her subconscious stepped over to Olivia, planting her heel on her cheek. "Oh? Need big ol' Derek to come save you? Guess what. He doesn't care about you. You just met him. Why would he?"

Olivia groaned. "Y-y-you're wrong. He cares about me. I know it!" Olivia swatted away her heel and rolled to the side, getting back up.

"Feisty girl, but you should give up. Let me take over. You're clearly not fit for the job." The subconscious placed her hands to the floor, making the fog disappear. Then with a raise, the ground shot up, twisting around Olivia. "Now you just stay put, while I make my self comfortable. Toodles~"

Olivia strained as she watched her subconscious walk away. No way, was she letting her take over. This was her mind, and that means she controlled everything. Closing her eyes, she concentrated, building her will. Who was she fighting for? Her family, Derek, he was the only one she had left. Why was she fighting? To live, to help others. How was she going to fight? Olivia opened her eyes. "My mind. My powers." Suddenly the ground that wrapped around her shattered, and Olivia raised up a wall before her subconscious.

"Wha-" Her subconscious was stopped when Olivia lifted up large blocks, sending them at her subconscious. Her subconscious fell to her knees, and groaned.

Olivia walked over. "Yes, you're a part of me. Yes, I sometimes think the things you do. But I won't let you take control. Will is stronger than instinct. I'm stronger than you." At this moment, her subconscious dissolved, and Olivia felt control over her body. She had complete control now, over herself, over her powers. The white space started to swirl around her, and she opened her eyes.

In the infirmary, Olivia finally opened her eyes. She was awake. A nurse was tending to her bedside, and smiled as she woke up. The nurse said with knowing smile, "I assume you've taken care of your business then?"

Olivia couldn't help but smile at her newest achievement, "Yes. I have."

The nurse then said we'd check her out as soon as possible, but that Olivia needed to eat first. It was true. She was starving.

Artemis lay in bed. She had slept for two days straight like another Coma...Sitting up all she could remember was Tobias. His face..his presence. Had he been there to visit her? Why was she in the hospital in the first place. A small wrap was around her head from when she fell. Her hand gently went to touch it looking around. "H-hello?" She asked sitting up even more. She felt...alone and slightly lost.

Looking up from the magazine she was reading, she noticed the girl across from her had woken up. "Oh, you've woken up too?"

Artemis was startled to hear another voice. It was a girl. Across the room she saw her. A nod was sent to her as she sat up fixing her pillow. "Um yeah...you to?" She closed her eyes. No she is still in a coma just talking to you...

Olivia frowned. "I was in a coma, but I'm awake now. So no, I'm not hallucinating, and you're not hallucinating. I'm an actual human being speaking." Chuckling Olivia asked, "So what's your name?"

Artemis smiled a bit running her hand to the back of her head. "Well Im glad your not a hallucination...Other wise right about now you would have vanished in to a worm hole of some sort and poffed" She said making a face. "Sorry bout that. My name is Artemis" She said. "And you?"

"Olivia. Nice to meet you. So how'd you end up here, coma and all?" It couldn't be as embarassing as Olivia's where she actually caused her own coma. But at least she gained control and confidence. Wait, confidence? Olivia did feel more confident now, she wasn't scared of the world anymore. Perhaps this was meant to be?

Artemis looked around a bit. "Pleasure to Meet you Olivia" She said. Artemis inhaled a bit. "Well I uh...Im not sure If I really remember" She said. Her eyes closed...a flash happened. Nicks face lying by the orb. Pennys face passed out next to hers. She clenched up gripping the sheets over her making a small humming sound of pain. "I uh...I went in to the forbidden room...I think" She said blankely

What. Artemis went into the forbidden room? "You're alive? wow. Though I guess after the Headmistress is done with you, you'll wish you were dead. Or so I've been told." Olivia shrugged. But still, the forbidden room, based on Artemis' blank expression, she probably is suppressing the memories. Maybe Olivia would try to search through her memories later, at the possible cost of her own, but hopefully it wouldn't take that long.

"Heh great..." SHe said preparing for the wrath of the Headmistress. "Well what ever my punishment It cant be as bad as what happened to all of us" She said wincing from a slight flash again...Her dreams seeking through. She shook it off a bit. "And you? Why are you in a coma?"

"Were, or at least I hope I'm not in a coma anymore. But lets say I let my power get out of hand and it knocked me out. But I think I have full control now." Olivia hoped that was a good enough answer, vague enough to not be a lie or to shed light on the "Three Day Hormone Fest" as she now termed it.

"I see..." She said wondering what her powers are. "What are your po-" She stopped and held her head. ""Well Im glad your awake now"S he said nodding slightly. Looking around she inhaled. "How long have you been awake?"

Olivia scratched her head. "Well, I've only been awake for maybe a few hours, 3 or so. But I got out of my coma yesterday night. So I can say I've been "uncomatized" for about a day." This whole coma deal was actually pretty depressing. Trying to lighten the mood Olivia joked, "I just wish my body would recover faster. It's so boring laying here, all I can do is read, sleep, and eat."

Artemis pressed her lips to a line..She wanted to know if Tobias had come to visit or if it was a dream...a very good dream. She sighed a bit. "Yeah I know what you mean Im starving however"S he said looking around for the nurse. "I dont really remember...I think I woke up yesterday?Maybe the day before" She shrugged. "I just wonder if Im going to Homecoming." SHe said as she started talking...It was a girl and her best friend was in a coma as well.
