After talking for a while she looked at the time,"Ugh, I have to go. I signed up for the Arena and I need to practice", she said, getting up and saying goodbye to the others.

Cora burst through the doors of the coffee shop. She had gotten lost, even though she had religiously followed the map. She huffed.
Cora's eyes bulged as she saw the amount of people in the building. She shook as she heard tons of names in her head.
Cora noted the stiffness of the room, as if someone was clearly miffed, of had been. Cora's eyes landed on a girl with long blonde hair down her back. She was definitely the skater girl.
Cora tried to concentrate her powers on the girl, but it was useless. If she tried any harder, she would surley make a fool of herself in the midst of her peers.
She stuffed the map in her pocket. A headache was sprouting due to the constant whispers in her ear. She was partly frightened of becoming the school fortune teller because of her powers, but let it slide as one voice, the voice of her deceased sister, Jess, rang in her ear.
"Go get 'em, Cora," Jess's voice encouraged. Cora nodded and stepped further in to the social hub.

"See you later, Tari. I'll catch up with you or something," Aaron said to Tari before turning his attention to the others. He would of left, he wasn't a fan of the coffee shop that much but he took this as a baby sitting job for the high temper of others.

Artemis nodded as Tari left. She drank the rest of her drink as she saw the doors bust open. It was someone she hadnt seen before. "Hmm" She said. It must have been someone from school she seemed young enough.

Carson watched a new girl as she made a scene entering the shop. She seemed their age, maybe she was going to their school. Carson's facial expression voiced her confusion as she watched this girl concentrating hard on her face. It looked as though she was trying to read her mind, or something along those lines. This lead Carson further to believe that this girl was also attending Oceanside.
She turned back to Jamie.
"Well, it was in the middle of the summer. We were having a cookout at our house for Independence day, and we were having a fire in the pit in our yard. I was just watching the fire was all, but I felt this strong connection, almost like a bond. I'd never felt that way with an inanimate object before, and I could swear that it moved when I wanted it to move, and grew when I wanted it to grow. After everyone had left, I snuck out back and tried starting another fire with the charcoal left behind... a huge blaze burst into life, and engulfed my hands, but it didn't burn me at all... That's how I knew I wasn't an ordinary human..."
Carson finished the story, and then stared off into space, remembering that day like it was yesterday.

Cora sighed. The girl was looking at her.
Cora took a breath. She would be friendly. She ambled over to the girl. She planted a smile on her face.
"I'm Cora Hendricks. I just arrived at Oceanside," Cora said, sticking out her pale hand.
Cora blushed as she say that Carson was in the middle of a conversation.
"Sorry, I--I--I--" Cora whipped around. Way to make a statement, Cora, she hissed in her mind. Soon the names came flooding into her mind. She shook her head as if all the names would fall to the floor somehow, leaving her with peace.

Artemis inhaled a bit as she saw the other girl speak. She seemed scared to death or something. Artemis smiled a bit.

Woah woah woah. Once powers was mentioned Aaron had to step in. He stood up from his seat and went by Cora. He knelt down and put an arm on her shoulder, not to touch her to hard. "I'd be careful speaking about that," Aaron whispered into her ear.

Artemis perked her head up when they started speaking of powers. She moved a bit to listen up. Untill Aaron made sure we had all stopped. "I dont understand why we hide what we are" She said. A few people turning to there booth. "I mean...why hide what we were given...?" She said shrugging.

Aaron looked at Jamie, "calm down," he said, without using any of his power. He didn't want anything to start. He looked at Artemist, "do you not understand that we are socially not acceptable?" he said, looking straight into her eyes. "We blend in, not stand out."
